Cuban Noir

Just fell over some Cuban noir. Its interesting. The lead character is an MD who cant get a date, because taxi drivers make lots more money than doctors. The details of life in a works paradise seem accurate, based on authentic reports. In this novel Castro is plagued by terrorists who murder Canadii an tourists. I don't get why that's bad.

My problem with book are the details about Tampa. Tampa has a med school on the campus of University of Snow Flakes (USF) my alma mater. University of Florida med school is 200 miles from Tampa.

Sound fun. And taxi drivers in tourist areas certainly can make more than doctors. What's the name of the book?
