What are they like?
That scene in the Singapore pirates' den in At World's End (Pirates of the Caribbean), when they're all sitting around in tubs in the steam.
The outside is European..like the Palace of Versailles..with a statue of a man on a horse..Inside it's European again...plush, lots of servants (boys to give you towels, girls to massage you later, after the round of shower, shave, salt room, cold dip pool, the communal warm bath with fountains and ornate decorations. then upstairs in a fluffy bath robe for the foot bath and massage..in oversized armchairs, a small TV , snacks and drinks and cigarettes (although I was told that smoking while getting a massage is counterproductive).
And if you are too relaxed after all that you can sleep in your chair overnight or get a room in the building's hotel.
And all for a song.
