I stopped submitting my stories on Literotica as well as had them delete my submissions I did this because someone who used the “Anonymous” label took it upon the themselves to vent.

I am all for constructive criticism but when the reviewer just seem to spew bile, it isn’t cool.

Someone once told me that critics are just frustrated writers. Seems like there are quite a few on here.

As for writers that don’t use proper grammar, some are bad. But consider this. One time I wrote. “He poked her in the ribs!”

Spell check wanted to correct it to “He poked her in the rubs!” WTH!

Spell check isn’t perfect and neither are humans. Try and we do to get spelling right we do miss things. Even professional proof readers at book publishers miss things.

I expect that this post will get some responses positive and negative. I will take them with a grain of salt. What I will do with them is my business LOL

I wouldn't waste much time worrying over what an anonymous asshole on a porn site leaves as feedback.

seriously, learn to be less sensitive. also, you can just delete the real douchebags from the public feedback section using your profile. as for the emails, well, duh.

You can set it to only accept comments from registered members, and delete as well.

You get to decide why you post on LIT. For brownie points, votes, faves? For comments and feedback? To hone your writing chops? To entertain or provoke or rant? For your own jerkoff material? Because you can? Because you have nothing better to do?

If you've posted stories here then you know readers can be capricious, to say the least. What to do? Options:

* Run.
* Turn off votes/comments/etc.
* Grow thicker skin.
* Learn to enjoy the pain.

If you don't like reader reactions then you can quit. See who cares.

Guys, guys ttss ttss..…
They're such 'doers' and they never get how women think.;)

She's not asking for advice (she already knows those things). She's just venting about the assholes.

You get the good with the bad when it comes to writing erotica here or anywhere for that matter :) You can't please everybody.

Some of the feedback comments have made me laugh many times. Then you get a compliment on your writing or someone commenting their disgust and having a good rant. Then I think wth why did you read it if you thought it was vile?:D

Some genres on literotica gets some peoples heckles up. For example the loving wives category. Have a read on some of the cuckold stories comments and you can imagine the reader jerking off with one hand and using the other to type furiously about how disgusting the story is. :D

so... you had other people taking the time to read your submissions and comment on them, but you decided to ignore the compliment of this to focus on one anonymous fuckwit, picked up your ball and went home? that's an isult to those who bothered and a bit pathetic when you could simply ignore the anon or delete its comments.

negative feedback can be a useful learning tool. consider the source.

Your own post made you laugh out loud?
It must be nice to be so easily pleased. That not all are so delighted by mediocrity may help explain your tragedy.

To the OP:
Don't expect much sympathy here, OP. The GB seems to be a magnet for h8rs, so…

And there's a huge difference between negative Constructive criticism (from which one can learn) and so-called "criticism" done out of spite (reflective of the h8rs own issues). The OP is referring to the latter.

you'd be wrong, again, no surprises: there's plenty of sympathy for posters with genuine problems; that's been shown here over and over.

however, a poster who is too sensitive (or egotistical) to be able to handle a heckler, so much so they remove their writing from the site, but creates another account to come on to the general board to complain about an issue better addressed on the authors' forum? no, not so much. has nothing to do with hating, just being realistic.

Well, there's a huge difference between the way You handled my post (graciously, in a constructive manner, by explaining to me where I might have gone wrong) and the manner in which Des did.

And in this case I'm prepared to take in your feedback and you might possibly be right.

des addressed the OP, not you - unless you are the creator of the OP, in which case you're replying to yourself.... ok, i cannot be doing this.

Des is my "official troll" and keeps following me around. His comments towards me (even when I'm trying to have simple fun that doesn't affect other posters) are in the line of "you're stupid, unsophisticated, illiterate" and the most recent one was much much worse. So I became naturally suspicious when I saw him posting immediately after my post.

Which doesn't excuse my initial reaction to yours, tho.

Wonder how he feels now that he posted in the wrong forum? :eek:

Considering he posted it in the GB it didn't go that badly a few posters there actually gave decent advice, usually its just abuse.

The real trolls over there must have been told to go to bed by their moms and weren't online.
