My Wish For Today

I wish all you Litsters a Happy New Year. :)

OK, maybe I'm a few hours early. But it's on its way, boys and girls.

Yes, I wish you all a good year. Not that my wishing will help any. It's like prayer -- pretending to be helpful while accomplishing nothing.

But I digress. I wish various biological imperfections would go away. I wish I could keep my Ovation 12-string guitar in tune. (Actually, my cuatro is worse -- it's a Mexican 12-string mandolin-type thing. Bloody awful to tune. But not quite as bad as the banjo-ukulele with slip pegs.) I wish my partner was in the mood tonight. I wish the current cold-weather blast would let up. I wish my older sister hadn't died. I wish the USA political system would repair itself. I wish I could finish a few stories that torment me.

Is that too many wishes? So sue me.

Now then, Miss Patty,
Do not get greedy. You know what happens to greedy girls. . . . :)

That Master's sudden breathing issues are quickly resolved. (Tomorrow I'll wish for a cure for COPD.)

As I get older, the cold affects my joints more. I'm never warm, no matter how many layers I wear, or how I program the thermostat.

I'm sending my warmest wishes your way, Lynn, and wishing that it helps.
