Broaden My Horizons Please... Musically

I giggled so much at that I had to play it twice. :D

I like the Stones. Forgot about that one. They have so much out there really.

Depends for jazz. I don't like stuff that sounds like lounge music. Especially bad lounge music. Since I'm not as familiar with it, it is easier for me to check out individual songs as opposed to just listing an artist.

OK, back to the book.

Space Cowboy

and for some hard drivin' interest.

I swear I forget about more than I know. Steve Miller has an incredible body of work. Completely slipped my mind. Hadn't heard that song for ages.

I was getting all ready to not like the second one when it started but it's finishing up playing in the background as I'm finishing this post. Kinda groovy.

The "Eddie" movies were probably the worst thing that ever happened for this band.

Beaver Brown

Can't say as I can argue with that. And it didn't age well.

That's such a fun one. :)

Yes it is.

This whole thing has been a lot of fun. I've been introduced to a lot of stuff I had never heard of before. I liked quite a bit of it. Some stuff that I wanted I couldn't find - St Paul & The Broken Bones "Everybody Knows" for example. And I will have to wait until September for Alvvays new CD. But that's okay... I got most of what I was after. It was also pretty cool being reminded of some older music - even centuries old.

I'm really glad I did this. :)

Another upbeat song just crossed my mind, so I thought I'd mention it. "Faith and Science" by Marit Larsen. Not one you're likely to come across in the states. :)

St. Paul and the broken bones are great something a little different Chris Robinson of the black crows in2004 https://youtu.be/m7IjGRrepP8

Added. See list in next post.

Good call.

Sigh, tonight's late junction has not started me with an excited wriggle.

That's too bad.

You wriggling is kinda fetch, I gotta say.:D

I can neither confirm nor deny Elle's wriggling, however from my personal experience wriggling can be... rewarding. :D

You like radio-pop. Not really my thang, yo.

I never considered myself as such. However I won't not listen to something because it's pop. Unless it's Bon Jovi. But that's just common sense.

fucking gross.

Good thing you don't have to listen to it then. :p

I had a great drive in and enjoyed it muchly. Put me in a good mood and I still have a good song going through my head.

It's time for an alteration in my musical universe. I'm rebuilding my car stick this weekend. I want upbeat music - nothing maudlin and nothing with a freakin' broken heart.

I am a fan of classic rock, 80s alternative Britpop, some pop (not too bubblegummy), old timey music from the 40s and 50s, jazz, some classic. I'm not a particular fan of harsh sounding music - harder rock, punk etc. For country, it depends.

I don't keep track of the newest and latest so I really don't know all what is out there. I'd love to get some suggestions. I'll take a listen to everything... even if it's not my normal, I'll at least give it a try.

Help?

adrina. I searched high and low for a song that reflected your personality to a tee.

I found it. ;)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPUmE-tne5U

Here's another one, adrina.

This one is best cranked up to fullest volume, windows down, as you come to a stop at a light.

Notice all the other drivers around you, hearing your music, bobbing their heads and singing along.

Jump out of the car and start swanging those hips and dancing...right there in the street at the stoplight.

See how many people jump out of their own cars and join you!

If anyone on Earth can start a revolution....it'd be you, doll!

Here ya go!
