What made you smile or laugh today? Part III

Dudelsäcke.

If that doesn't sound like a euphemism for "scrotum", nothing does.

I'm ready to kick a clown in the dudelsacke. Grrr!

Oh wait, this is happy thread.

Hmmm. I like my new short hair as I don't even have
to comb it to get my day started. How's that?

I was trying to get some official documents and using a system that required me to physically sign a paper and send a scanned copy. Well, I was unable to print the document, but I did physically sign it. :) It wasn't accepted at first because of something else, but I just got confirmation that it's been accepted.

\(^o^)/ That makes things easy for me.

WMMSOLT?

A 7th grade boy going in to great detail about why he had a bloody nose. (In a nutshell: nose picking!)

Maybe an odd thing to smile about...

A conversation that is rather unpleasant, but in the end you walk away from with more understanding about something or someone.:rose:

Lately we've been ignoring the negative threads, or comments within, even though we randomly read most anything.
Within those positive threads we've found things to smile and laugh about. Lit is not all sex and politics.

Thanks to those of you who have made us smile....!

I think that's an amazing think to smile over. :rose:

__________

I've always seen the same poster around and I never really looked at their profile, just their tiny avatar on my phone screen. Well, I always thought to myself, "man, they have a really weird lumpy ass." Which is fine, I like the posts they make and they're knowledgeable, the weirdly shaped ass always just kind of stood out to me. I just took a look at their profile and got to see their avatar in its entirety. It's a funny dog picture. (≧∇≦)I have been thinking this picture was their ass for months, possibly more than a year. (0_0; I feel silly.

Had a blue skies and sunshine day with my kiddo. Walked the dog, looked at horse chestnuts, watered plants and made applesauce. It's sweet simple moments that are often the most poignant and memorable. In an otherwise busy week this was a much needed reminder to slow down and breathe.

Hung out with my girls tonight, hadn't done that in a while. Worked on cosplays, drank, and listened to music. Came home to Master and had a good fuck. One of those kinds that just REALLY scratched that itch. Lying here next to him, wearing his shirt, stealing his warmth, just being surrounded by him. I'm a happy happy girl.

I was chatting with a friend, and we were talking about how much worry you have over kids and it reminded me of when daughter had just started school, aged 4.

The health nurses had come round to test all the kids' hearing. They were tested in groups of 3 and had to react in some way when they heard a sound. In daughter's group, one girl had to put a toy brick on the table, another had to put a toy figure in a box and daughter had to clap her hands.

A week or so later, we got a letter to say that daughter had seriously failed the hearing test and needed to go to the specialist clinic for further examinations.

We were horrified. How could we have missed the fact that her hearing was poor in all this time? Was I really so wrapped up in work that I hadn't noticed? Guilt guilt guilt......

In the weeks waiting for the appointment, hubby and I would creep up behind her and whisper to see if she could hear us, and she always could. We were baffled.

So, the day of the appointment came, and two worried parents took her for the test. Again, she had to react to sounds by putting a toy brick on the table. And she tested perfectly - no problem at all. So the nurse said there was no need for further appointments, goodbye.

When we got to the car, we told her how puzzled we were.

"Well, when we did the first test, the other two got to put toys on the table. I wanted to do that - I didn't want to just clap my hands. So I didn't."

 :D
