Dear Diary-
I met someone.
Went to that secondary location everyone warns about
A monumental mistake
More than a miscalculation
Worse than a misstep
Deeper than regret
Went down what I thought would be that rabbit hole
A quirky, unique tumble into Wonderland
Wonderland...not even close
Where I stumbled...
A deep, dark, winding tunnel
Straight to the pits of Hades.
Pandora's Box would have been a better option
At least she had Hope under it all
I am left with a box of nothing
A million boxes of nothing where I am
And demons
God, the demons there
The likes of which I've never experienced before
They use their claws
Tear from inside out
They leech out the soul
Bit by meaningless bit
It hurts.
It burns.
Not consumed so much as devoured and regurgitated
Only to have the same process repeated over and over again
It is nowhere to be
Yet exactly where I am
Nowhere.
