Privacy and technology questions

Ok so how do I keep this life secret? Same with a messenger. Any tips from pros welcome.

Weeelll. If someone has access to your devices ya can't. Other then that, don't use the same pics to send to people as you have posted to other sites, don't use pictures with any distinguishing features (tattoos, birth marks, noticeable backgrounds), don't use your real name, don't mention employer/ title of job, create a separate email address for lit, that's not associated to your other email accounts... really depends on how paranoid you want to get. Of course none of this is fool proof.

I use a separate device that is hidden outside of the house and kept safe away from praying eyes, you are more than welcome to pm me to exchange ideas and if you have kik messenger I am there as well, best of luck

I live alone, don't know your situation, so it might be easier for me. First of all, I don't tell anyone in my family; this is my private and personal space.

I have a separate email address that I use only for my adventures on Literotica or Adult Friend Finder, etc. When I am accessing these sites, I use the Incognito version of the Chrome browser.

Also, I keep my private erotica collection on a thumb drive which is encrypted with a password. My list of favorite Tumblr sites is in a MS Word file which is password protected. I have other notes about who I have contacted, etc. in a separate password protected Word file.

If I am deleting files (like erotic images), I use a program called Eraser (on my desktop computer). Eraser uses multiple pass secure erasing algorithms to make it next-to-impossible to recover an erased file. This is better than simply deleting, because it is quite easy to recover a simply deleted file.

I realize that nothing is absolutely foolproof, but I don't make it easy for a casual discovery.

Also, and perhaps most important: I do not access material which is illegal (e.g. underage porn) or which I imagine might be of interest to law enforcement.

Hope that might have been helpful. :)

  • don't tell anyone here (or any other website) your phone number.
  • don't give anyone here (or any other website) your email address (even if it is solely used for literotica alone)
  • don't post pictures of your face (some reverse image lookup programs (e.g. google images, ...) claim to be able to associate any similar facial likeness to another photo. (this is just BS in my opinion. those websites just use tags people post to find similar images)
  • Do not put a "sensible" image title for any image files (only use nonsense/random titles).
  • never put any private documents on your desktop. Anything on your desktop is easily viewed by anybody "simply" looking at your computer via the interwebz (always keep them in folders not visible on your desktop).
  • each browser is a little different in how it shows this, but it's usually before the URL (which starts with HTTP://...) and see if it says "this website is secure" or equal, OR "this website is unsecure" or somesuch. If it is unsecure, DO. NOT. PUT. ANY. PRIVATE. INFORMATION. ON. THAT. PAGE.
It is publicly visible to those who know how to look for such things.

...everyone touched on most other recommendations, but I'm probably forgetting a bunch more...

Are you concerned about privacy in general or are you hiding an affair from a spouse? I can offer tips.

Feel free to PM if you're not comfy answering or if your concerns have been addressed already. I hope you enjoy your secret life. Make it worth it and be careful!

On your phone lock it give no one the word but yourself. On your computer do not leave it on unattended. If someone else uses it have separate passwords. Yes this can be done. Best wishes. Also never do this at a work site this is grounds for firing you. We have to turn in anything that's on your history public and private. Be aware these places have cameras too.

If using a phone for access, then obviously lock the phone with a code, but also use norton app lock as this can also separately lock individual apps on the phone. So you can double lock any apps you want secure, so that if someone manages to open your phone, they have another access code to crack. Ensure a different code is used

Adult Friend Finder

TXGENT - what is adult friend finder like? Is it safe and legit?
I saw a review that said it is bloated with out of date profiles, and working-girls (and guys I suppose).
do you have to enter credit card information with them to join up?
Thanks for any info.

I have found AFF to be a pretty good adult dating site. Although there are some fake profiles, I have actually had some interesting conversations and met a couple of ladies through the site. The good thing about it is that the main topic(s) are sex and not a lot of 'meeting a life partner' kind of interactions. If you want a life partner, etc., go to Match or Plenty of Fish (what I call 'vanilla' dating sites).

You can 'join' AFF for free, but don't get much out of that; only look, not get messages, etc. After looking it over, I did decide to get a gold membership and that required me to enter a credit card. It was a risk, but I think worth it. I paid $117 for a three month gold membership plus a feature to allow 'standard contacts' to contact me. You can set your account to avoid auto renew, etc. if you wish.

In addition to contacting others for dates, there are many features to the site. There are blogs, interest groups, and various other ways to communicate. By participating in interest groups, I have learned some interesting things and gotten some sexually related questions answered. And some regular correspondents who live so far away we will never meet, but virtual friends nonetheless. So I get a lot out of it.

As they say...YMMV, but I like it.
