Trump claims Wilson "SECRETLY" listened in on the conversation, even though she was in the car at the request of Myeshia Johnson and Johnson was the one who put the phone on speaker.
I wonder if Myeshia Johnson knew there were others in the oval office "secretly" listening in.

Then Kelly calls it a sacred call, implying it should have been private, even though he listened in.
Then he moved on to lie about Wilson.
Then he only took questions from reporters who were or knew gold star family's, apparently they are the only ones worthy of speaking to a general.

When reporters called out his lie, the White House said it was disrespectful to question a general.
Aside from the utter BS of that statement, I guess they forgot about Trump being smarter than all the generals.
If it's disrespectful for reporters to question a general when he so blatantly lied, why isn't it disrespectful for Trump to make a patsy of a marine corporal?

There's no turning around The Lie that Wilson propagated, that Trump's intention was to insult and harm the family and that he had no empathy or compassion for dead soldiers. Both Wilson and Waters ought to be made to stand in the well of the House and face censure. They are two of the most ignorant, vile, anti-American, leftist subversives, in the House.

Except for the widow herself was just on TV saying what an asshole 45 is and how he forgot her husband's name, had no empathy or compassion for her dead soldier and backed up everything the COngresswoman said, and Kelly was found to have been lying when they rolled the tape of the Congresswoman's comments at the FBI building dedication.

So apart from all of the facts being against your assertions ... I guess you have a point.

I would think that the only time you can't question a general is if you're below him in the chain of command, and he's given you a direct order.

I'm pretty sure he left the service in 2016.

General John Kelly (retired) has brought dishonor to his legacy.
To make a serious mistake is unfortunate, to refuse to admit your mistake is inexcusable.

This is what we can expect from political generals. Noble ol' Colin Powell, who in his early career worked to cover-up the Mai-Lai massacre, lied straight-faced about Iraq's nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, lies justifying the illegal invasion and subsequent disaster. Lies that were exposed over time.

But Kelly's lies are revealed almost as soon as they're spoken. Team Tromp live in a counterfactual universe, untruths and distortions spurting in all directions, and their followers seem not to care. Reality? We don't need no stinking REALITY! We got Tromp!

There were other witnesses who say different. So apart from all of their facts being against your assertions ... I guess you have a point.:D

No doubt you can quote were she said that, as I can't find it.

As for no empathy, he's demonstrated that he has none on numerous occasions This whole train wreck started because he demonstrated it again..
If he had empathy he wouldn't have used a question about their deaths as an opportunity to not answer and, instead, make their deaths about himself and use a lie about past presidents to try to puff himself up further.

There were other witnesses who say different. So apart from all of their facts being against your assertions
I assume you mean those other witnesses who "secretly" listened in.
At least two of those witnesses, Trump and Kelly, are proven liars. And Kelly didn't even dispute that Trump said it, in fact, Kelly's statements showed that it was extremely likely.
There's a huge difference between a Commander saying to a General, "He knew what he was getting in to," and a president saying it to a grieving widow.
Only a complete moron with no empathy would say it to a widow.

Agreed. I did not see it coming. Add his name to the long list of lying staffers.

Sgt Johnson's wife (target of Tromp's call) and mother were in a car with Rep Wilson, an old family friend and mentor since long before she ran for office, and they back her up. White House says they "have no transcript" or recording of the call, which is doubtful, since presidents' every external communication is recorded.

Tromp and Kelly, calling Sgt Johnson's wife and mother liars. Yeah, real compassionate...

I don't think Donald Trump has ever had compassion for anyone who is not named Donald Trump so that part is not surprising.

That aside though what kind of an idiot would get into a public relations pissing match with the actual widow. This morning he refuted her statement that he had trouble remembering her husband's name. Which seems likely. Trump stumbles a lot.

Of course Trump had no such intention. He only wanted to get through the task so he could get back on the golf course.

Understandably, he finds no pleasure in consoling war widows with African names. Calling them liars on Twitter, now that's where the fun is.

There's no one who has associated themselves with Trump whose reputation hasn't gone into the shitter as a result.

Kelly's lie pales in comparison to Colin Powell. Outside of the military, few would have recognized or remembered John Kelly prior to his elevation to chief of staff.

Powell had a storied career, he was a genuine Horatio Alger rags-to-riches story. He might've even been President. But he reluctantly sacrificed his career and credibility by giving credence to Bush's WMD claims.

That odd press conference has exposed Kelly’s emotional, personal disdain for the citizens he served in uniform and still serves in a sensitive political post. His remarks lead me to wonder if he really understands that soldiers are the servants of democracies, not some special race apart. A MacArthur or a George Patton, disdainful or ignorant of democracy but close to the president is dangerous to the Republic.

ad Hominem Fallacy:
(abusive and circumstantial): the fallacy of attacking the character or circumstances of an individual who is advancing a statement or an argument instead of seeking to disprove the truth of the statement or the soundness of the argument. Often the fallacy is characterized simply as a personal attack.
