I firmly believe that no one should ever be made uncomfortable or belittled because of their sexuality; and I think it's an idea that this site aims to meet as well. So here's a set of pictures to remind you all that it is important to not only be respectful of one another; but also to try our hardest not to be so ignorant and thus judgmental towards each other.

EDIT: To explain these pictures a little more clearly, they are a group of pictures meant to be seen one by one starting from the first one. I'm wearing very little in the first one and some cleavage (I don't have much naturally, sorry!) is showing. On my chest are the words "not a slut". The second picture is the same thing but now I am only wearing a bra. And in the last, the same words are written on my chest except I am not wearing anything anymore. Together, these pictures depict my stand against all forms of slut shaming. No matter what a woman is wearing, whether she seems like she is "asking for it" or not, she does not deserve to be called a slut.

I have no reasonable explanation as to why an individual should pass judgement on another for their sexual goings on, perhaps it is a case of traditional thinking and ideology having a lot to answer for. There are numerous flaws with our societal ideals that two people can be together for a long time, that is perhaps another discussion but one that greatly influences our idea of sex and relationships. Our culture has evolved with these set of ideas and what a vast majority of people can't seem to grasp is, just because we have this idea, just because something is so now, does absolutely not mean that is how it should be.

Our culture is only the product of our history and I think you see that in no better example than the acceptance (if that should even be the term) of homosexuality in recent times. Something like the idea of two people of the same gender loving each other should not have to be accepted, it simply should be. I believe this to be similar to the idea you are talking about Miss, sexuality in all forms should be more open for interpretation and freedom of choice than it generally is.

We have created these unnatural 'boxes' of marriage (a flawed institution by any measure), relationships of a monogamous nature, the idea of what a man and woman should be and expect people to fall neatly into the groove. Our intelligence is our greatest weakness sometimes I think, we believe we should be more intelligent than our carnal base indicates, and yet nearly every social system we have created to circumvent that is as broken as fuck.

You are absolutely right, the word, along with all words really are just our creation to give meaning to something. I agree that the word itself creates its own agenda.
