I am so old (54) that I remember paying $10 to go to an actual xxx movie theater in the bad part of a neighboring town back in the late 70s - early 80s to watch porn double-features. It sucked when the movies didn't feature any favorite performers. But when there was a good scene, I would mentally "record it" for later and use it as "jerk off material" for weeks to come.

When I got my own apartment (1984), VCRs were pretty expensive (>$300), so I would rental 6 videos and a VHS player for $25 for a weekend and have a "solo orgy".

Most of my favorites have been listed already. Christy Canyon, Janey Robbins, Nina Hartley, Erica Boyer, Tracey Adams, Ginger Lynn, Kay Parker


But there were others too. Fawn Miller, Lili Marlene, Lotta Topp, Candy Samples, Trinity Loren are all worth a search.

There are a lot of things that made those "movies" special. The first generation of porn had blazed the trail, but didn't have such pretty women and the production values were poor. The 80s brought gorgeous women as pretty as any mainstream movie stars. And they were doing every sex act with no protection. There were scenes that were set up to give some context to the sex. That often added to the excitement. The women actually acted like they were into the sex. It really was a golden age. I jerk off almost every day to porn clips and I would say I watch clips from the 80s more than half the time.

80's porn - what's not to like? High production values, dialogue, plots, natural breasts and full bushes make for a period rich in nostalgia. Okay, the background music can be a little cheesy, the hair styles and fashions appalling, and the acting stiff, but I can overlook all those negatives.
