another of my mostest favs is "execution of lady jane grey" by delaroche....haunting theme of course, but such a beautiful piece of work and the detail is amazing!

all this chatting has made me yearn for a trip to the museums of capital city :(

The BM sometimes does late Friday specials including a meal and late exclusive access to the special exhibitions. Might be worth looking at for Pompeii.

as a side note....a red kite just flew over my garden...wow! :)

yea i have heard that many exhibits stay open til late, but not sure it's for me as i'll have to coordinate with last train so don't want to rush through anything.....at the prices the ticket will cost, i want to take my time! :D

i get them all the time nowadays, but they still amaze me...being a nerd i like a bit of bird watching :D

If I turn round you will see how cold !!!

I'm a bit of a nerd as well and feed the birds all the time , never seen a red kite , but get loads of everyday birds in the garden , once had a woodpecker ! That's been the best !!

Mind you must be chilly in your little thing your wearing ! :kiss:
 
The breeding program started in the area I live. There are so many now.

i remember a time when you never saw them over oxfordshire, never mind in an urbanised area.

always thought they were so beautiful and graceful to watch.

glad now i can see them from my garden :)
