Alabama did it, and it wouldn't be possible with minorities casting their votes heavily for Doug Jones over Roy Moore. Sadly, whites went for Roy Moore rather handily still. This was a high turnout election, and that made all of the difference, despite voter suppression.

Huzzah! Victory! Who knows, we might still even kill the GOP tax fraud! #Resist

More like thank you certain segments of Alabama. Nearly half of the voters there still have no moral values to be proud of at all.
 
Black Alabamans, mostly, but other demographics, too. The black turnout was unusually high, not surprising given that they were facing the prospect of a Senator from their state who thought that emancipation was a mistake. :eek:
 
Depending on whose count you believe, Jones received 93-96% of the black vote. In comparison, Obama took 91% of black Alabamans in 2012. That's right, a white guy outperformed the first black POTUS with black voters!

Expect Gup incumbents and candidates to circle the wagons. Dums are ready to kick ass, spotlighting Trompian and Guppy racism, sexism, corporatism, corruption -- and their own plans to fix that shit (although Dums still need to wean from the corporate teat). Observers say Jones ran a very smart campaign, worth studying for future applications.

But watch what happens with the tax bill.

People are allowed to have their own opinions, even if those opinions are completely wrong and horrible. Don't celebrate too much, all politicians suck, I doubt that this bloke will be any different.
 
With Moore, a voter wouldn't have to go to any of the sexual behavior accusations. The man was kicked out of a judge position twice for anticonstitutional behavior and he put himself and his wife on the payroll of his foundation. Even Alabama schools train their students well enough to know that a judge incapable of being a judge and one who is personal-gain corrupt disqualifies himself for representative office.
