But I think the bottom line is (no pun intended) you need to have someone you can trust.
If you're completely new to this then you will soon learn what you like and don't like.
Saying that, a true submissive always says yes!

YES! Trust above all else. Without trust nothing else will work.
Communication is key - you have to be open and honest about what you like and don't like and what your hard limits are (what you absolutely will NOT do).
I am relatively new (about a year) to the lifestyle and learned that I will not say 'yes' to everything. But I will definitely say "yes" to the things my Sir and I have already agreed to. And if there is something new he wants to try, I listen and decide before saying 'yes' or 'no'. Since my limits are already known, my answer is always 'yes' since he never suggests things he knows I won't do.
