The real loki rose from the corner where he hid when she scolded his mirror self and strode silently up behind her, only a few steps away, so as not to interfere with her dancing. It was nice to see that the ancient dances had not been forgotten, and he had to wonder who it was that had taught her them.
She certainly was practiced, why hadn't she pursued the arts, he wondered again. She could certainly have pleased gods and kings, she was pleasing him after all though he would never admit it to a mortal. She danced closer and closer to his mirror image reaching out to touch him causing herself to stumble as she passed right through him.
It was then that the real Loki stepped in, he reached out and took her by her wrist and spun her around, catching her in his arms. There was one long moment that they looked into each others eyes, Loki's expression unreadable as he stared back.
Then he ran his hand up from her wrist to her hand and took hold of it. At the same time he reached down and took her other hand as well, drawing her into an impromptu dance. "Hell is for other people." He whispered with a mischievous glint in his eyes, purposefully misquoting Jean-Paul Sartre.
