The guitar in the first song reminded me of fingers running over naked skin- the accent beats tell us when they hit the good spots.

Oo I'm all mournful now.

Hey y'all, this is one I know. Her beloved is in the military and just left this week for an 8-month tour of you-know-where.

Good to see you here, ursa major.

Nice to see you back, rainy!

I drove up a very big hill yesterday for ten hours and am spending the weekend pillaging Denver for shiny objects. Turns out the hotel has stellar internet. Yay!

nice set.

on another dig, are you? :)

we expect to see the new finds draped across your neck and wrists in coming AV's -- don't disappoint us.

Again, wonderful set and excellent music. May I, though, prostrate myself before one of the Gods of Rock Music, the late Mr. Roy Orbison? From the same concert as yer clip, here's one o' me all time favorite songs. Nice geetar duel between James Burton and Bruce Springsteen.

Most excellent selection, Mr. T, specailly, 'cuz it includes That Talent I'd Most Like to Be, Mr. Warren Zevon (though I'll take me own personal life, which, though not so varied nor flamboyant, is much more stable). The guy was effin' brilliant. Like, uh, here.

Tough to listen to
but absolutely brilliant

I was hoping to find a video of " Desperadoes Under the Eaves" but no dice

I have that video...did you catch the part where they give Tom Waits a solo and he plays some bizarre off key stuff and there's a quick shot of Roy, and I think Bruce looking at each other like " WTF was that?"

His early records still blow me away
and I never could hit some of those notes

Love the Elvis too - that's one of my theme songs.

For this trip, though, I'm thinking this:

I'm with Z on vacations.

Tzara please don't put that Zevon AV back up. I'm too attracted to you already.

Yes, there will be new shiny AV's soon. Two pounds of jade. An overflowing double handful of flourite. Picasso marble. Hand-painted Chinese ceramic beads. Turquoise. Coral. Labradorite. Aventurine. Garnet. Ruby. Tourmaline. Rainbow obsidian. Slabs of malachite as big as my head (no, not getting those this year. Too expensive).

It's the biggest candy store in the world.

yum
