Oh please, let's not discuss the relative merits of particular drummers. . . .

They are somewhat untraditional in drum lines, but they did perform a few years ago with the Royal Marine Drum Line at the Albert Hall. And, as far as being unconventional, back in the 60s when I was a teen, I played bass drum for a Scottish marching band in my neighbourhood. We ran out of Anglo-Saxons as the district became increasingly Puerto Rican, so we did recruit from the new youngsters. It wasn't long before we were the only Highlanders Cha-Cha-ing in the Memorial Day Parade.

All these drum sticks and suddenly I'm in the mood for fried chicken.

I ain't been on a parade in a long, long time. The nearest I get is to be a snapper of pictures. That's fun though.

The most important thing to know about parades is to always be IN FRONT of the horses.

Isn't that "Monopoly: Trump Edition," where, if you make enough money in real estate, you can sponsor the Miss Universe Contest and walk into the dressing room?

But there may be virtue in grandfathers...

Once I saw mountains angry,
And ranged in battle-front.
Against them stood a little man;
Aye, he was no bigger than my finger.
I laughed, and spoke to one near me,
"Will he prevail?"
"Surely," replied this other;
"His grandfathers beat them many times."
Then did I see much virtue in grandfathers-
At least, for the little man
Who stood against the mountains.

A mountain is just a molehill with a self-inflated ego.

Possibly, but according to my college earth science professor, a volcano is when Mother Nature had too much to drink and throws up.
