But the typo is paraphrased in my comment; I don’t remember it specifically. But I do remember how exceptional her writing was. Lol, IKR! She totally might have meant it if it was “bit”/“but”
I don’t know her reasons for leaving. I don’t even know if she ever saw that snarky comment. With some writers’ works, I might agree that reacting that way to such a comment was being thin-skinned. But in my opinion (and again, assuming for argument’s sake that comment about a typo was her catalyst) it would have been justified; a writer on her level had a right to be overly sensitive, if that was in fact her reason for calling it quits. There’s a gospel about casting pearls before swine....
I didn’t know her, and since she went MIA, I really regret that I never made the time to email/PM or otherwise contact her directly just to say “Hi, I’m a reader and avid fan and thanks for such incredible writing.” I can’t find her on Twitter, Instagram etc. In retrospect and now that I’m writing, too, I wish that I had.
