Looking for an editor

I want to submit some short stories I have written. The first instalment is ready but do I need an editor to go through it first? Please help.

It isn't a requirement that you use an editor before submitting. It is advisable.

If you feel you need an editor to look over the story, then it helps if you state the word count and category you intend it to go in. Not all volunteer editors will work with all the categories so you need to be upfront with this.

I have managed to work out how to submit a story and have done so. Still in pending stage. I can't wait as it's partially based on a real encounter and so looking forward to sharing it once made live.
