I used a cock ring the other night during extended foreplay and sex. It was the adjustable tubular style and I had it around my cock and balls. I notice the next day a lump on the too base of my penis. It is in the artery or vein entering my penis. I still function fine, but this knot scares me badly. Can anyone with some real knowledge give me some idea of what may be happening?

Um, those people are called doctors, not random horndogs on a "porn board."

If you want my expert medical opinion, though, you have dick cancer. Sorry, brah. :(

Really? You are such a nice person. Thanks for your very compassionate advice and diagnosis. You see, I was kind of thinking that other "horn dogs" might have experienced the same symptom and give me some helpful advice. Or perhaps, one or more of these "horn dogs" might even be a doctor. I guess I have a more positive outlook on humanity than some people. I have found most people on Lit to be nice and helpful, but there is always one in the crowd. You have a wonderful day little girl.

Irrespective of how it was worded, she recommended you go and see a doctor.
I'm not sure you're going to get a safer response than that.

any mechanics here? Fix my car for free? I wonder if there are any financial planners or lawyers willing to offer up services for free? Wouldn't mind if a Michelin chef popped around for a cook up...

You have a wonderful day little girl.
Now Mr Cockdropoff that was a touch silly...

Go to a doctor.

Sounds like you've damaged the soft tissues and some fluid is trapped down there, the most probable reason for your swelling. Too much pressure on the veins can cause the fluids to leak out and.....uh, I don't think you need to know what exactly happened, so I'll skip this.

The good news is:

It'll go away.

Don't touch it. No sex. No nothing for at least a week.

Penises aren't made to jackhammer things or withstand pressure like these. If you're young, it'll heal faster. No such relief if you're past 30-35.

The bad news is:

It may become worse, depending on how much damage you did to yourself. Since you don't mention any sort of pain, I won't strike edema off the list. If the swelling doesn't subside in a week, contact a doc.

Or you could contact a doc now. It's the better choice since you seem to be interested in a more professionally verified opinion, and I can't possibly show you my medical qualifications.

You must judge whether it needs looking at by your doctor or at an injury clinic.

Beyond that, here's my comment:

I did once have that same thing, years ago before I used the 'whole junk' rings I now do. It was as a result of having one of those stretchy 'shaft only' rings on for just a bit too long. In my case it settled down of its own accord though I think there is still a kind of kink in the line of the blood vessel which was not like that before, and I quite like it! Of course I have no idea if mine was like what you're talking about so this is just a comment and not my advice!

Advice about wearing what you were wearing: There are rings with quite severe angles in terms of the cross-section through the ring itself, and there are rings with really comfortable curves to the cross section - you know what I'm saying.

And likewise - inner diameter really must not be less than is still comfortable for you even after a prolonged period of arousal, erection and then ejaculation. If at that point there is discomfort, get a ring with a wider inner diameter. even a couple of millimetres makes a big difference. I host a thread about cockrings which you can click to from my signature.

Thanks for the advice

thanks for your insight. I believe I may have what you described. The lump is only evident when I have an erection. It is in the blood vessel and is similar to what I have seen when a vein blew during a blood donation experience. It is small and not painful. I don't think it warrants seeing a doctor at this point. I was hoping to hear from someone who has experienced this before. I know I can't be the only one on here. It is definitely related to my use of the cock ring. I will definitely avoid any sex or heightened state of arousal for 5-7 days as recommended by one other person who was mind enough to reply.

Please post a full size picture with the affected area clearly marked. I'll study it for a few hours and let you know. Also if you have one with the offending cock ring, please post that as well.

No need, all has returned to normal.

Yes, I knew you were kidding. ;)

I might have studied it until they took it down. I have never seen an actual cock injury. Except for the ones where they get their heads chopped off but that's usually called

Winner winner chicken dinner

Yum!

Surely you don't mean Mike?!?

A headless cock. Was very popular with the hens from what I recall in reading other sites.

Of course he did require hand feeding.

Sad to say he choked to death.
