As is so often the case, the "almost" is better than the "everything", especially in art of any form. "Literal depictions" rob us of the ability to add our own imagination (read: stimuli here). This is true in visual art as well as the written word. This may explain why so many descriptions of the sex act are... boring, failing to measure up to the real experience which we carry in our mind. A pleasure to view this.
