The fact that in many cultures; ours included, paper folding is considered to be a work of art.
In all actuality, though, it's more closely related to math than art. Some classical construction problems in geometry for instance.. can't really be solved using straight edge and compass... but can be solved using only a few folds of paper.
I know.. my geek is showing, but it all came about from 6th grade math homework.

It is working fine right now...and if I don't go get one now, Sod's law says that the one I have will truly give up the ghost almost certainly. If I do go get one, the current one will last and have nothing wrong with it.
