It was a touching scene. For only a 3 minute window of time, man and wife joined hands in marriage. Unable to legally enter the country, this was the only way for the woman to meet her husband-to-be. Border patrol agents stood by and watched the heart warming event.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, the man, Brian Houston of San Diego, had pleaded guilty to drug smuggling in May in San Diego federal court. As a result, the Border Patrol presided over a drug dealer's wedding.
Though the court hearing was only six months ago, that fact did not turn up when the Border Patrol did a background check on Houston. Apparently the con artist is so fixated on stopping illegals from entering the country he can't be bothered to notate the U.S. criminals already here.
