This is my first shot at this so be nice.

The story is set on a remote FOB in Afghanistan where there isn't much to do besides work out, go to the chow hall, and dodge the occasional mortar.

Not sure if I want to tell it from the perspective of the female or male. Could be interesting either way.

Basic idea is a young female officer is assigned to the FOB. She shows up and starts getting to know people, blah blah blah. Eventually ends up discussing masturbating to relive tension with a fellow male officer. She's just out of college only had one boyfriend, asks to watch him masturbate since she has never seen a guy do that. One thing leads to another and it turns into a mutual masturbation scene.

i have no idea what a day in the life of someone in the military is like...let alone in a hostial place. where does one sleep? how many others are you bunked with? same for male and female? what happens if one has sex in the military on a post?
 
I happen to know someone around here who has the answers.

Don't worry about a girl never seeing a guy masturbate before. I almost never did it for either of my girlfriends; it was rather awkward when I did, but I had to remind myself that they were enjoying watching. No. not at all. Showers overseas (or in the continental US for that matter) are not co-ed. Showers at smaller FOB's (Orgun, Shkin, Viper) have separate times for male and female, but never at the same time. Larger bases (Kandahar, Bagram) have separate shower facilities.

I love the idea. Couple of ways you could approach the characters: You cold use the old officer not being involved with the enlisted man, you have her be an officer and he be a young inexperienced recruit who is real easy for her to talk to. Then I like the idea of her being young and new and an older officer feels sorry for her and want to help her out.

I have got to admit that i have a huge thing for guys in military uniforms so the idea of this story is really hot. Yes, it's true most showers overseas are men or women only, but it also depends on which countries military you are from. Mine for example has the sliding sign "Male-Female" on the door in most places. Seems like you've already started, but I'll add my 2 cents worth if anybody wants to run with it.

Older woman officer gets assigned a young recruit for an orderly/yeoman/whatever. Maybe she picks him because he's big and muscular and she thinks he'll be able to provide her personal protection. Most of the ideas in this sound pretty good. I'm tempted to take a stab at something similar.

I particularly like SensualWhisper's concept and could tie that into the original idea without difficulty - perhaps she fucks up on patrol. On FOBs, all you do is patrol, QRF, eat, sleep, exercise, jack off and wish you had a different option, rinse and repeat. And then do it again and again.

FOB = Forward Operating Base. Also "Patrol Base" and "Platoon House".
QRF = Quick Reaction Force.
