Being witty has very little to do with intelligence. I know people who are quite witty, but unable to identify the subject of a sentence. I, also, know people who are quite intelligent and lack wit.

I am not saying the two are mutually exclusive, but you can have one without the other.

I have to say, it's kind of hard being a guy on lit and finding a way of breaking through the crap of the personals section. Most men are like '27/m/horny - PM me. :rolleyes:' Women just have to put a giant F in the title and their inbox is filled within an hour or two.

Hell the title got me to stop and peek. How true it is about the latter, 1 letter in the title and the PM box is full. Guys on the other hand have to stand out and live up to the standard in order to even get a reply. I guess it can be related to fishing, you won't catch all the fish using the same bait, some will like it and some won't.

However I will say, my personal has been going strong for almost a year, usually yielding me at least 1 response per posting. Then again, I cheated and used pictures :D
