Day 4 complete. And on a related note, do you know how flipping difficult it is to hold a plank when you've got a cat weaving in and out of your space? Do you think she wanted any lovin' before I hit the timer? Of course not.

Honest question:

Do you feel guilty after an occasional off the diet menu? I eat healthy, but on occasion I will have the cookie, or the latte, or the chips and I don't feel any guilt whatsoever.

I'm just curious: is it all or nothing for you, or do you have the occasional treat and not feel like you have to punish yourselves?

Cats, I tell ya.

Did my 30 min run today plus a bit of circuit training. Feeling happy with myself.

I know, right?

They do offer t-shirts for the bigger challenges, but yeah. . .

I mean they could at least give out a $10 card for Starbucks or something. I'm wondering what do they have to do to get a T-Shirt? Bench press a car?

Well, at least it's something fun to do. Gotta look at it that way;)

No need to torture myself, I have co-workers to do that.

I don't feel guilty.
When I snack, I do it in moderation and make sure to enjoy it fully.

Should I loose control and go on a junk food eating trip, I do not think I would feel guilty. I rather think that I would be deeply worried.

I sometimes feel guilty if the off-the-menu item wasn't planned.

A BBQ place in town has these amazing pulled pork nachos** and I've been using them as a cheat meal with no guilt whatsoever.

**I was telling a FB friend who's from my town but moved away years ago about these amazing nachos and almost referred to them as "pulled porn nachos."

Created a sexy dance fitness video yesterday with is getting mixed reviews. Some say it's too sexy and some say it isn't sexy enough. But my husband likes it;)

The plan is to do an hour of cardio today, probably on the stationary bike. I've met my goal for the rowing challenge, but I think the rowing was making my shoulder hurt, so I'm doing ice, anti-inflammatories, and rest this weekend.

I hope you feel better soon, Eilan!

Edit: No challenge today. According to the chart, it's a day of rest. Whew!

I think I'll be fine because I started icing the shoulder as soon as I felt pain. 10 years ago I'd have probably just tried to work through it.

Smart woman!

Today, I'm doing another 30 min run and some floor exercises.

Yesterday 5 k on the treadmill (there was quite a storm outside) as warm-up, then 20 tons of iron in the gym.

If the wind dies down some more, a run is scheduled for today.

Is this thread open to all? If so, it's finally above 0 this morning - a toasty 17, in fact! I hope to run 7 miles once the sun starts to peek over the horizon.

I'm glad I found this thread. Mind if I join? I love working out and helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Come on in -- the more the merrier! :)
Eilan....so the spring performance AND pulled pork nachos? Definitely worth a trip.

Pulled porn nachos sound rather appealing, too...
You have to come on Friday or Saturday, then, because the BBQ place is closed on Sunday. (And I still have to figure out what weekend in March these shenanigans are taking place.)

Thank you for the encouragement, Sophie! I really appreciate it! PC day 2 complete. Today, it took me 11 seconds before I started shaking. That's progress, right? :D

That's great information, Stickygirl! Thank you! You've given me some ideas for when I've (hopefully) completed the plank challenge. The exercise where he's pushing off the ground with his arms brings back memories. Back in my ballerina days, I used to be able to hold that position without using my arms. I'd like to be able to do that again.

Anytime you're out there doing *something*, it's progress!

Good for you, Baila! :rose:

I think rowing is excellent way to build endurance, strength ... and sexy shoulders. I hope you feel better soon Eilan!

I will occasionally feel a twinge of guilt whenever I indulge in a treat. Especially when I've been doing so well. But I have to remind myself that life is a balance. You cannot sustain any kind of modified lifestyle if you don't have a treat every now and then.

Thank you! Day 7 complete. I'm thinking about adding some exercises for flexibility to this daily routine.

That's the one thing that I need to add more to my regimen. There are advantages to being flexible. ;)

So I have 2 questions:
1. When does a treat turn into gorging? Is that at the 2nd cookie, or the 5th?
2. I'd like to learn more about meditation. Anyone try it? What'd you think?
