Once upon a time, there was a mistress named Lynn, who couldn't sleep. Then she remembered that there were people in the world who loved and admired her, and told her that, regardless of the moment, there is always something to make you smile.

Thank you. :kiss::rose:

LOL, I can't spell Nietzsche either. But it's better than being Nietzschean and believing there could be no Super Women.
:D

So Zarathustra said . . . .

As I understand it, a good knowledge of C19th German is essential, as it contains a great deal of wordplay.

In an attempt to fix #3 son's week-old headphones, I have just performed my first act of soldering. And it worked! With no injuries! Mirabile dictu...

However, shortly after, I scalded myself on some superheated steam from the over while - ahem - extracting my pork from its hot confines... so the universe is in equilibrium again.

May the good Lord, in His wisdom, protect us from those who are a stranger to soldering.
Ice in the affected part ? :)

I know. It seems to require three hands. Do I grow the extra one after a certainly number of hours practice...?

Aloe vera is very effective with burns. It does not, however, help with congenital idiocy. Who knew...?

Practice makes perfect and perfect practice makes all boring.

Nude sundeck in backyard, Texas summer sun, aloe vera growing wild around the sundeck. Accident? I don't think so.

Lavender oil is good on burns. Not that you could be sweeter, Steve. All cooks get their fingers burnt occasionally, it's not idiocy, you sweet idiot.

Why are some men such total jerks that they try to punish their ex-wives after leaving them for another woman, not seeming to notice that refusing to pay the mortgage may have an adverse effect on their child , and leading to me having to spend the morning going through crap lawyer's letters with a friend who has dyslexia and doesn't have the class confidence of a MILF with cut crystal accent and letters after her name. Those fucking lawyers better have their guided missile defence system up and active!

Do please keep us informed.
But remember that lawyers may not [a] know about a dyslexic case, and not know how to write a letter is simple English for such a case. In my experience, Lawyers just go their own sweet way (the bastards).

Good Luck. :rose:

Thank you! (sigh). It's not the lawyer's stupid letter, it's the way the stupid lawyer failed to represent my friend properly in court so that the judge became hostile, even though the husband failed to show up - he was on holiday abroad with his new floozie!

I'm seeing if I can get assorted political representatives on board to support my friend in getting a roof over her own and her child's heads. I offered her my Kitchenaid cakemixer money for her mortgage but she said it would be good money after bad. :(.

Anyway, we also had a nice laugh about the burlesque. She said, "we all think you are so demure, Piglet's mum, but you're not a bit!" LOL. ;)

Does she have a Redress of Grievance against her lawyer?

Does she have a Redress of Grievance against her lawyer?

She has me. I will go down there with her in some Grievously smart Dress and do heavy doctoral breathing on her behalf to get her someone better, although I'm hopeful the local politicos will pitch in and sort it for her. That would be better, then we can go for coffee and I can concentrate on cheering her up a bit.

I'm sure you'll help the locals see howelectable they'll look as defenders of mothers and children abused by lowlife men and uncaring judges.

My family lawyers have been looking after our interests for nearly 100 years but the practice has been around for five or six hundred years.

They cost about 10% more than more local lawyers but are worth it. Whatever the problem, they sort it out competently and quickly. When we bought our present house, the vendor used the most cheapest and most useless local solicitors. My father in law died when the sale was part-completed and everything had to wait until his estate had been sorted out.

The vendor's solicitors were startled to find that the delay in proceedings only added 10 days and would have been even less than that had they been more competent. They weren't used to having faxes and emails responded to within minutes.

When we received a kite-flying letter of complaint from a neighbour written by a local solicitor, I forwarded it to our lawyers and advised the local solicitor that I had forwarded it. The local solicitor immediately advised the neighbour to withdraw the complaint because "I can't win against Messrs X. It will just cost you money to lose."

Good lawyers are worth keeping. Unfortunately incompetent ones are more numerous.

I had to brush my hair this morning. I don't like brushing my hair. I would rather shave my head, but it is too cold out right now. I really want it to be warm again so that I can shave my head for the spring.

LOL, I really did mean that as a little blurt to get it out of my system. For so long I've been so  and :( as I watched my friend's and Piglet's friend's lives made miserable by this stupid madman. Thank you guys, for expressing an interest and concern and proving that biological sex isn't that important, there are many decent men around.

My friend's city councillor has picked up the distress call and is going to meet with her. She has worked so hard with so little support, not being the kind of person who has a good network like wot I have, or who expects the 'system' to help her out. She only thought they might be fair to her about some bloke who has deserted her and their child and would rather be off frolicking on a weekend out of the country, than show up in the courtroom to pretend to any interest other than in messing them around! Don't get me started again, LOL.

:rose: guys - socialist of course. We are mostly reds in this city now, after suffering the Lib Dems for far too long. Love this place.
