So there's this...Google patents human flypaper. The idea is that if a self-driving car hit someone, they would stick to the car and not get thrown off and get secondary trauma.

And so, in the not so distant future, Amy is walking to class with her head in her phone and bops into a car. She naturally jumps back, but her dress/blouse is stuck to the car and doesn't jump back with her. Naturally, the car, with it's gawking passengers, then drives away.

The goal: make people naked. The tools: sticky big objects such as the flypaper car, or special magnets that undo metal fasteners and zippers, or chemicals that render fabrics transparent -- or that dissolve fabrics. I did that on a planetary scale in A Fall of Stardust. Personalize the effect with a novelty spray or powder that eliminates clothing.

But then what? People are suddenly, involuntarily disrobed in public. What ensues?
