Snuff Story - Prohibited on Literotica or Not?

Remember, everybody, it's snuff porn or Disney... no middle ground to be had.

My comment was simply I was surprised at the amount of violence found on a sex site. Pure and simple. I do not read a lot of erotica and lit is the first site I checked out.

I expected violence in the non human category as it is very fitting "Necroscope" would have done well here as the vampires there were quite the BDSM perverts.

I did not expect a lot of killing, snuff or otherwise, in the erotic tales. For myself I am a bit of a purist and do not mix my vices.

example; I am a huge comic book fan even owned a store. I am also a fan of erotica, yet have no desire to see Wonder woman having sex.

I love horror and violence but not with my sex. Again these are my tastes and again I started the comment with IMO. No one else need have that opinion, but it is my right to express it.

And I can't lurk under the bridge, you've already claimed that spot, as you lurk the forums and pop out once in a while to spout your "shite" before going back into hiding.

Opinions are fine. Passing judgement on others is not. Incest is not my cup of tea, but I don't feel the need to barge into every related thread to moan about how I'd prefer more vanilla erotica. You do. You moan about rape fantasies. You whine about violence and death in erotica. You even found the time to say this pearl about the whole Non-Human category, which was a staggering display of ignorance, even for you:

Most of the non human category is an end around for bestiality.

This is a broad site catering to a wide range of kinks and fetishes, from the vanilla right up to the way out, and yet there you are, popping up all over the place to defecate your self righteous whines about what erotica should and shouldn't be. We get you don't like certain things. Stop fucking moaning about them!

That'll be enough from me. You're a classic internet troll, here to get a kick out of wasting everyone else's time. I'm not feeding you any more.

Thanks once again to one and all..

..for your learned and valuable opinions; especially Sr17plt.

Nice to know I've arrived amongst friends, and thanks for the barrage; I'm sure this has helped many a budding writer in the past.

Sorry I didn't comply with the 'commmand' I'd been given to 'PM laurel' - don't think this will be necessary- read the line about my re-submission of the story.

It must be something to be all-knowledgeable about a particular site! I had been enjoying the atmosphere of this one, until I was alerted to this thread.

To re-iterate; apologies if anyone was genuinely offended; I'll continue writing in another vein on this site. Think I'll leave the forum well alone though!

Good luck!

Well, it's true. Some complain here just to whine--and resent being given practical advice on getting their complaint fixed. It does so spoil a good whine. :D

You're welcome to your opinion.

You seem to have missed the point entirely, though.

It wasn't a 'complaint' I merely sought advice; most rational people would understand that simple message.

No hard feelings though; despite your continued attempts to be abrasive. I know how being 'brave' on a forum comes as a thrill to some people.

Knock yourself out.

And you railed against and ignored the advice and then you declared you were leaving because you weren't permitted to post adult stories here.

Guess it's a perspective thing.

We've could have just ignored you and not given the advice to begin with.

Problem is, so much is lost in an e-mail; face to face the true understanding of the situation is apparent in half a sentence. Without you clocking my boat race, you haven't a dickie-bird. I look forward to the true video communication era when we can take a gander at each other and see how that influences a situation. I suspect that the banter might be a little less corrosive then, especially if open to a participating audience.

Still, that's just another fantasy at this juncture.

Sweet dreams.

As LC suggested there are sites that will post your work as is. You should also work on being a little more thick skinned. Forums are full of all types and some live to piss you off as well as work on personal scores.

If this thread will make you take your ball and go home then I would certainly not suggest quitting the day job.

Railed or rallied?

Perspective is just what I'm referring to.

Advice? ; tinged with too much abuse. Oh, and it's the forum I referred to as 'leaving', not the site itself; I'm very pleased with the publishing format.

Not permitted to post adult stories? - 8 on site already; not sure what you mean by that.

Oh I'm quite thick-skinned thanks; just don't understand outright abuse when asking straight advice.

Take a break Kit kat

I gave loads of straight advice, although most of what I posted was just trying to figure out what your problem was. Obviously, I shouldn't have bothered.

You should never try to figure out what someone's problem is.

Nuff said.

like I said, no hard feelings.

Correct. Snuff is directly related to death during or just after sex. Lit is specifically a sex site so will not allow it. It can however be used in mainstream fiction because it is only part of a story not the main attraction.

Same for underage which is rampant in mainstream novels because the person is buying the book for other reasons whereas in erotica the sole purpose of underage is to get off on that fact. Same with flat out rape.

Superbly put. sr is muddying the waters by not differentiating between an on-line sex site and a mainstream publisher. I had no problems with an underageage romantic incest story with Harlequin but would never try to post it here.

sr tries to redefine Lit rules without authority and shamefully fails to give simple and helpful advice.

Anyone else notice that Elfin can't post a single posting anymore without making a jab at me--even when she has to totally misrepresent what I post or bring me into a conversation that I'm not even remotely engaged in?

The woman obviously is hopelessly (and I mean that) in love. She's also a total nut job. :D

Your wide reading clearly doesn't cover boards where you know you would be ridiculed.

A point that I believe hasn't been mentioned before is that sr always replies negatively, but of course I love him. He reminds me of my elderly male cat - still strutting his stuff - sans teeth - crapping in appropriate places and totally unaware of reality. LC et al, keep putting down the food because I don't think sr can forage too well these days.

Is there a cure for CMS anal retentiveness?

Harlequin?

Can you direct me to this site? - The only Harlequin I found seems to be a 'Mills and Boon' sort of site- perhaps I'm not looking hard enough!

Thanks in anticipation of your help

Not here because one can't put links to other sites, but I will send a PM. Yes, Harlequin is romance but is getting more and more raunchy.

Sputnik, please don't quit the forums.

We apologize for the unforgivable excesses and aggression of sr and scouries - but they are easily ignored. That's what most people do.

Lit is 'middle of the road' erotica - if that makes sense. sr is a quasi-senile, fantasist failure trying to eke out his fading years by berating newbie writers here, as an egotistical bully, without having the decency to read their stories but just insist on them kissing his feet. Somewhere between Caligula and Nero.

You have supporters here.

Thanks to one and all for answering my questions as the author of the offending story!

I'm sorry if I interrupted anyone in their self-righteous conversation.

Once again; can someone who has the time between spouting off about the wrongs and rights of the terminology used, please let me know why the story was allowed in the first place if the death of the main character as part of his fantasy, is not allowed?

I understand now that 'snuff' is taboo on this site as is bestiality and under 18's- this is fair enough, but I was not to know that as a newbie to this site.

There are no 'drop down' boxes when you enter categories and these are left to the person sending the story. Puunctuation was the only reason given when I had a refusal for the story, so presumably the editors actually read it!

I shall ensure no-one comes anywhere death in my future submissions, even if this is what they as a character desire. If people do not want true BDSM, may I suggest that those who complained stick to a site more in keeping with Disney or the Waltons?; they would remain un-offended then! (Please avoid a tale called 'Bambi' though - it involves snuff!)

Hi, I haven't weighed in on this subject yet but I see it has reeled out of control.

To my understanding "snuff", as portrayed in the Nicholas Cage movie "8mm", involves the murder, for the sexual release of others, of an unwilling victim. I have had stories accepted in the non-con cat where the women have enjoyed the act. Somehow I don't think they would enjoy being "snuffed".

It is what it is. As has already been suggested, there are likely sites or blogs that would yield your stories as great works and revel in them. Just not here.

The others are just saying, "Thanks, but no thanks." No harm, no foul.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.

I'm sorry if this site has not sufficiently provided information as to the acceptance policy. I don't believe it has been an issue before. I will inform management. Thank you for your interest so future writers of snuff will not bear the same burden of distress as you have endured, and we apologize for any inconvenience or embarrassment this has caused you.

Thank you for considering Literotica as your website of choice and hope that you will continue to think of us in the future.

More important (again), snuff was coined to define the depiction of an actual murder. So, the use of the word snuff (even by this website) is irrelevant to the stories posted here.
