I couldn't decide on one, but I thought maybe some people here could, and it would be interesting to know the song they consider their favorite.

How is it possible to have 1 favorite song?

I suppose the same way it's possible to have a favorite anything. I've heard many people say they have a favorite song, although it's not an easy choice for me to make.

Beck & Imogene Hepe - Rolled and Tumbled (any mood, any time)
Ben Harper - Another Lonely Day (mellow)
Joe Purdy - He Said She Said (melancholy)
Mary Gauthier - Drag Queens In Limousines (excellent story telling song)
Jessica Lea Mayfield - We've Never Lied (melancholy)

Not familiar with any of them. Got any links to vids or recordings?

They stay in the 'pocket.'

I used to watch "American Idol" and this one blew me away. You can cover it or you can own it, this is not a cover.

"I walk the Line"

Ishmael

Well, you're right, that's not exactly a cover. Maybe I'm old school, but I prefer the Johnny Cash version.

I just remembered my Dad told me his favorite song was Tennessee Waltz.

I really liked the first two. Thanks.

My favorite version of that song is Anne Murray's, it's one of my favorite country songs.

Quite a few artists recorded it in the late forties and early fifties, and that's when my Dad learned to like it. It's a good song.
