I'm never here, but still I want to poke my head in and give y'all a thumbs up/hug for all the good/bad things in your lives.

Me:
I've been traveling for six months, would be on the road for longer, but my dad, who is my hero and someone with the healthiest lifestlye, had a heart attack, so I'm back home, to support the 70 something bearded giant and do his garden work for now. *flexes muscles*

Upside:
I'm not missing the first ever queer kinky play party in the Netherlands. And my straight cis male partner is joining me and also wants me to go all out with binder, leather skinny tie, the works. I never thought he'd say that. :heart:

Downside:
My hair looks like I needed a haircut six months ago. Because it's true. I could call it You Look Very Shane Today, but it's probably more Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber.

Always a joy to hear from you but I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Heart attacks come in all shapes and sizes and the medics can do some clever stuff so I hope he makes a steady recovery... don't expect to be relieved of gardening duty anytime soon though ;)

In his case it was unexpectedly tricky, he has clogged arteries. Why, we have no idea, his cholesterol is more than fine. He needs one more stent and permanent medication, but should recover well. I hope so. He's one of the most awesome people I know period, I have no idea how to do half the stuff I need to do if I can't call him to ask how it works. Without him I'm a sad excuse for a boi really. :eek:

Sun... sun. I think I remember what that looks like. *wistful sigh* ;)

Here, the lilacs are suddenly in full bloom all over the neighbourhood. It smells amazing right now, though the rain and wind are doing their worst to send the lovely little petals all over the place. Last night it looked like we had a parade come through.

I like to think that the same rules of evolution that brought about so many varieties of flowers are the same rules that made all of us different, too.
