I'm pretty good at starting stories. Finishing them is tough.
One of my fairly early efforts here was my 4-part BRIDE OF KONG mini-series. (01 02 03 04). Well, it's actually a 3-part series, but I didn't like my ending. #4 is a nested set of possible endings. Very unsatisfactory. Total length: seven pages, maybe six when combined.
Backstory: I started writing this a decade ago, then lost my notes, and finally wrote it last year. I originally conceived it as a film treatment. The beginning (in pieces) made it straight to the LIT pages. My original ending would not pass LIT guidelines -- and it wasn't very good anyway.
I have a perverted urge to combine the parts into a single mini-novella. I think it's rather a decent story -- except the ending. HELP! I need a perspicacious literary editor to suggest some ways out of the corner into which I have painted myself. Any volunteers?
