I am proud to be a native born Texan. But quite the odd one, I think. Born in Texas. Yes, Dad was at Fort Hood and Ft. Sam. Did not live there for many years but bought a house there a few years back so my permanent address is the Houston area. Though, now, I live and work abroad. I do fit the mold though. Definitely a southerner and a long tall drink at that. Don't ride horses but do have a steel pony.
