Oh dear me,
<Grr r r r r owl>

<drool, drool>
;)

Goodness me! what am I to associate with those exciting noises? :devil:

LOL, it can only be that there's a car around! Now let's have a big cat.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight
In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The lion sleeps tonight

Tyger, tyger, shining bright
In the forest of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Can frame thy fearful symmetry?

Poor Sam, someone untie him! I don't think that's his kind of thing after all. ;)
Mmm, Ogg, talking of fearful symmetry, what a lovely car!

And expensive. Last year in France I met the owners of a similar but later, larger 8 litre 1930 Bentley who had driven it from Peking to Paris and were on the way back to the Channel and London.

Parts of it were held together with wire and duct tape because of the rigours of the journey. What a way to treat a quarter of a million pounds worth of car!

But they had enjoyed themselves and the car could be repaired - again.

The Lamb

Little lamb, who made thee?
Does thou know who made thee,
Gave thee life, and bid thee feed
By the stream and o’er the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing, woolly, bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoice?
Little lamb, who made thee?
Does thou know who made thee?

Little lamb, I’ll tell thee;
Little lamb, I’ll tell thee:
He is callèd by thy name,
For He calls Himself a Lamb.
He is meek, and He is mild,
He became a little child.
I a child, and thou a lamb,
We are callèd by His name.
Little lamb, God bless thee!
Little lamb, God bless thee!

William Blake, 1789

Do you know, Ogg, I actually always thought it was called duck tape! :D What a gurrl!

O rose, thou art sick
The invisible worm
That flies in the night
In the howling storm

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

Mmm, good plot bunny!

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears
Night and morning with my tears,
And I sunned it with smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright,
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine -

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning, glad, I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree

It is. Duck Tape is the trade name of one version of duct tape.

The Duck

Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.

Oh so I wasn't being fluffy! What a relief, LOL.

Ducks' Ditty
All along the backwater,
Through the rushes tall,
Ducks are a-dabbling,
Up tails all!

from Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows

(It's a Wind in the Willows time of year, isn't it? When you feel like you might run out the door hurling your dusters aside and shouting "onion sauce" at any rabbits who get in your way.)
