Glad that you're feeling better, Bear!

I've only been sleeping about that much lately as well. Second heart attack?!

Yeah. 15 months ago I was driving to work and decided I should go to the hospital instead. I had a funny feeling in my chest. Didn't seem like a big deal, but thought I should check it out. Good thing I did. The fuse box in my heart had a short and it was beating out of rhythm. Took forever to get it beating right again. They pulled out the defib machine, but I guess it was enough to scare it back into rhythm. I got to go home that night, but it took almost a year to get back to myself. Ugh. It's good to be back.

So, in the interest of keeping my heart healthy, I'm off to bed. Sleep well, everyone.

Molly, dear, it's good to see you around.

Bump Molly out of the wall.
Collect your medal on the way out.

Hope her ticker's doin' OK.

I gave her a very light, gentle bump out of the wall.

The next question is 'how do I get Molly to release the recipe for her wine and the details of her still' (rather questionable legality over here).

At the time of writing, Santa is in the Far East (China/ India - ish)

I don't have a still. That would be illegal. I do make wine, however, which is legal as long as it's for one's own use--and Uncle Joey and I make use of every bit of it. A new batch is in the carboy, made from drought grapes. Should make a very interesting vino. If the weather cooperates next season, I shall try to make some from wild blackberries. :D

Just finished watching "It's a Wonderful Life". No many how many times I see it, I still find myself holding back tears.

Merry Christmas, Naked Party!

Sadly, the good films are not on this year, by the look of it. I particularly like:
I think it's called "Miracle on 34th St." (I usually get the title wrong)
(Richard Attenborough as Kris Kringle)
"White Christmas". That dance by Vera Ellen is a masterpiece; and her legs. . .

Oh well, Shrek 5 or whatever bit of nonsense is inflicted upon us this year
(Christmas Carol was on the other day).

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Got to see The Hobbit with the family and am having a great time playing with my new DSLR camera.

What sort is it?.
I have a Canon EOS 400D which does me very well.
Not that I can use it properly, you understand.

Five inches and it's still coming down. I can't help feeling this is a waste of a perfectly good snow day.

This is a porn site and you are talking about only five inches. Come on Sweetheart, make it a good 8 to 10 incher.

It's still coming. I have a feeling there's a good 8 to 10 incher on its way.

But I'd never be so gauche as to whip out my ruler at such a time.

"Spackle" is a trade name for a quick-drying plaster used to cover holes and dents in walls so when you repaint you get a nice smooth surface. There a number of brands but Spackle, like Kleenex, became the generic name . . . no doubt to the originator's annoyance!

Thanks, Bear.
We have similar stuff over here.

Having tons of fun with this new camera, Nikon D3100. Here are some of the shots I've taken already with this.

http://sdrv.ms/12QNhA4 One of my first attempts at light art, 30 second exposure time.

I remember having to learn how to spackle very quickly when I was younger and kicked a hole in the wall and had to have it fixed before my father came home.
