I have an idea for a story. Two couples who are close friends to swap partner for very first time. Every one agreed
The couples meet in a bar have a few drinks. They each leave for a motel with each other’s wives. One husband get to motel with friends wife she goes into bathroom to change but does not come out. Finally the guy knocks on the door and asks if she is ok. She comes out still dressed and tells him she just can not go thru with it. Her ohusband wanted to and she agreed but not that it is time to really do it she just cannot do it.
The guy tries to be compassionate to his friends wife but realized her husband is in a motel room with his wife and he does not know which room. he takes the guys wife back to bar where they were to meet afterwards. They ware a long time til the guys wife and his buddy show up. His wife got fucked but he got nothing in return. His wife was a virgin when they married but now she has fuck the buddy and there is nothing he can do about it.
 
Which marriage breaks up first? Or do they go all LIT fantasyland kinky?

Tragedy would be forestalled if the couples willingly shared a two-king-bed motel room without privacy rather than separating to swap alone. But then we'd have no story, or yet another stroker, yawn. Tension would rise in such a shared room if one wife accepted while one demurred and didn't even strip. Maybe the shy one watches her friend get spit-roasted. Is she aroused?

I'd have them go back to the bar and find the other wife and husband already there; they couldn't go through with it either! So they go back to the motel rooms with their own spouses and fuck like crazed weasels. Maybe the wives each role-play being the other wife (or maybe one wife does, and one husband does).
 
Maybe the wife that couldn't go through it then gets angry and really wants to do it, so she drags the unlucky hubby to the bathroom and they got at it like bunnies for a good half-hour or so while the other two have to listen and decide to go for another round themselves.

Then they come back out, kiss their own spouses, pop some Viagra, and have reclaiming sex with their own spouses for much of the night.

Nine months later, both ladies are preggers, but no one's entirely sure of the paternity in either case, so the four of them just move in together and have a four-way marriage and household.

This sounds horrifying and awkward. We've dabbled in swinging and had an experience that flirts with this idea, but nothing this potentially crushing. I hate to say its intriguing as it is scary. I think the story would be the aftershocks... the confessions... and the salvation or demise of the relationships.

sounds fun... i like how the others are oblivious to the failure at first and then work hard to get everyone involved and happy.
 
A mild twist: the "failing" coupling option for cuddles and talk, and while not having sex actually nearly fall in love, while the other cross combination fuck as bunnies with little emotional involvement. They share experiences and our heroes lie about having sex too, exchanging conspiratorial glances. Everyone agrees it was fun, and must be repeated... only reasoning vary for each.

Well, it can go many ways from there, but the happy Lit ending would be indeed a stable quad probably.
