Let's get one thing straight; the private sector isn't interested in creating jobs. It is interested in maximizing profit, workers be damned. The stock market is at record highs right now, and unemployment still remains unacceptably high. Obviously the "war on the free market" isn't hurting Wall Street a whole hell of a lot, and that's all part of the problem.
The financial and banking sectors have become completely disconnected from labor, and corporations have learned how to fatten their bottom line in ways other than growing and expanding. It's all about investment and cost-cutting now, not paying a living wage to good workers to help the business grow. Other than retail, if a corporation needs working-class labor in order to keep profits up, they'll go overseas for it. So you can forget about "jobs, jobs, jobs". The more "free" the market becomes, the more wage-earners will suffer. Plain and simple.

I received a FREE education....earned a PhD and probably pay more taxes than you do now. I'm appreciate every thing that I was given. I grew up in Appalachia and neither of my parents even graduated from high school. They both had to quit high school to take care of their families, not because they popped babies out. My mother had to take care of me and my brothers and sisters after my Daddy was killed in a coal mining accident. You don't know a thing about poverty and never will.

About 1/3 of Obama's campaign fund for 2012 came from Wall Street. Here's a list of Obama's top donors.
And historically Democrats have done a better job than the GOP when it comes to the economy.
Focusing on private sector jobs Obama has created more private sector jobs and eliminated more government jobs than Bush.
As for jobs, jobs, jobs you did a good job using the GOP talking point. Let's see how many times the GOP voted for jobs. It looks like once.

The real problem with the war on poverty is that its inherently immoral. It rewards people for not getting off their butts and bettering themselves. It promotes sloth and creates a culture of failure.

Well, I for one, DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE POOR. That's right, I do not care about the poor and I'm proud of it. If I care about them, what incentive is there for them to care about themselves??? If I care about them, it means that I don't respect them. Its arrogant, condescending, and prejudiced to assume that someone else needs me to care about them. It strips them of the need to care about themselves.
