AH Roll Call

We've had a bunch of new faces here lately, so I thought it might be fun/cool/helpful to have a roll call. (Yeah, I swiped the idea from the poetry forum.)

A brief introduction, please.
I go by mcfbrige, but most people know my name is Mike.

What's the link to your member submissions page?
It's in my sig.

For which category do you most often write?
Usually nonconsensual, although my stories have more to do with humiliation and exhibitionism than with forced sex.

Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
Casino Debt probably illustrates my style, although on a very different note, I'm very proud of my Charlotte series.

Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
no and no.

Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
I'm just me, at least I think I'm just me. Wait a minute, the little voice in my head is telling me I might be someone else. But no, I still think I'm just me.

Anything else you simply must add? Just welcome to any new writers.

Greetings....

1. A brief introduction, please.
I'm trendyredhead, a redhead who is more classic than trendy. Been writing stories as long as I can remember, and these stories began to be sexual in nature when I was in high school and would write them for friends, about guys they liked.

2. What's the link to your member submissions page?
It's in my sig below.

3. For which category do you most often write?
I tend to write a lot of BDSM, because I feel like I have more options, but erotic couplings is my other primary category. I also write poetry.

4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
This is a tough one. I've posted many stories here, but have only kept my favorites (and the best of the best) available and active. If you like a guy's point of view, try Company Meeting. On the other hand, my newest story - College Coquette - has been a big hit vote-wise.

5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
Yes, on another erotica site. Eventually, I'd like to try my hand at a full-length novel. But that will have to wait until the kids are a little older so I have more time.

6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
I'm no one else....just trendyredhead.

7. Anything else you simply must add?
Please please please leave feedback for your fellow authors. Many of us are what I lovingly call "feedback sluts." We crave it, we need it, we use it to know what worked and what didn't.

Alex: You did, I read. It was good. (I'm back into my Hemingway thing).

There were a few hours of posts apparently lost somewhere along the gread information highway. Pure's intro post on his Paths of Glory thread about the revamped SDC (he's now moderator) was also lost.

ps: Or favorite Dutch treat, Black Tulip has just posted a new story. You should go give her, or at least her prose, a good whacking. After all, with a handle like de Kok, you must at least qualify as an honory Dutchman. RF

So you DON'T want a good whacking? Or should I have said either her prose or her posterior.

1. A brief introduction, please. "Manx or Manxy" to my Lit friends. I'm a technical writer at work, but dabble in erotica only on Lit. I often play on the GB. And, no, I'm not a proofreader.

2. What's the link to your member submissions page? See sig line.

3. For which category do you most often write? I don't (for the limited writing I've submitted so far), but I do have reading preferences: Anal, BDSM (light), Fetish, First Time, Gay Male, Group Sex, Humor/Satire, Incest/Taboo, Lesbian, Loving Wives, Mature, NonConsent/Reluctance, Novels and Novellas, and, Romance.

4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style? Queen of Hearts. My writing style is lyrical (maybe you have another opinion?).

5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?) No, and don't want or need to. I'm here at Lit for the fun as well as to interact with the grown-ups.

6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)? No other Lit Alts (but I do have multiple personalities at work) :D .

7. Anything else you simply must add? "All first drafts are shit." - Hemmingway.

A brief introduction, please.
I am one little Wornoutkeyboard. People mostly call me WOK. Please don't shorten it to WOKB...keyboard is all one word. I am a very abused keyboard and I am currently missing my F5 key so please don't ask me for a percentage symbol. I would be of no use to anyone unfamiliar with qwerty because I keep my letters a secret. On other boards in alternate universes they call me The Colonel. I will answer to both.

What's the link to your member submissions page?
www.WOKhasasexymedulaoblongata.com

For which category do you most often write?
Well... erotica or the real world? Erotica- I mostly write first time stories or romance. The real world- I write for Artillery magazines and war journals. Throw in the occasional history journal that needs weapons stories. Recently dd a great one on the weapons of Mesopotamia. But mostly I do WWI, WWII and the Korean War. I have dabbled a bit in the Vietnam Conflict, but alas there is just so much change in weaponry between KW and VC. Unless you are talking Mortar. Some minor design changes through the years but mortar is mortar. I'm still dilligently doing my research every day.

Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
Anything written by Dr. M. I often take credit for his work.

Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
Yes....and I would name drop....but apart from you being thoroughly unimpressed... the military journal world is a small place and I am paranoid someone could connect the dots. Then you might use your mind rays to transmit evil thoughts into the microchip in my brain.

Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
Just WOK. But I have often thought of being Gauchecritic but he won't allow me to astral project into his body anymore. He said last time there was too much chafing.

Anything else you simply must add?
I'll get you my pretty...and your little dog too.
My barbeque is bigger than yours.

~WOK

  1. Most call me Minx... I rather like that. I am still considered a newbie I guess. I don't know how long it takes to wear off, lol. I'll answer any question asked, so don't hesitate please.

[*]What's the link to your member submissions page?

It's in my siggie, please click on it. Don't forget to read... AND VOTE! LOL.

[*]For which category do you most often write?

Have only submitted twice, but what I am currently working on covers multiple categories so I don't know where to put them...

[*]Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?

Either of the current posts... sadly they are filled with gramatical errors, not my best work... they were not written, initially, for public view ;) Stay tuned and see if I learn anything. :D

[*]Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)

No, I'm not. (Would love to be!)

[*]Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?

I don't have another identity here on Lit. I have many elsewhere, but y'all wouldn't recognize them anyway so what's the point of listing them? LOL

[*]Anything else you simply must add?

I submitted a song that I wrote to the Poetry with Audio category on 2/15. I pray it's accepted. If it is, let me know what you think, I would appreciate it!

[*]A brief introduction, please.

Abstruse is the name you can look it up for the meaning. I started by challenging myself to write erotica and when I found I could, I kept doing it. I'm a former artist that prefers to use words instead of paints to create.

[*]What's the link to your member submissions page?
It's in my sigline.....Abstrusions.

[*]For which category do you most often write?
Started in lesbian and worked my way into Humor & Satire and then Non-erotic.

[*]Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
Restoration. It's my best piece and gives the person an inside look into me.

[*]Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
Not yet, hoping one day I will be then I can rub it in to all those people that said .....nevermind.

[*]Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
God you're nosey.

[*]Anything else you simply must add?
To any new writer that comes here, I hope you find yourself in your craft, learn some things, make some friends and have some fun. I've made friends here that I will treasure always, I've laughed myself silly at some of the funniest senses of humor on a global scale, I even cried with a few and some even allowed me into places that no one else could have gone to, sacred places that will remain so with me.

  1. A brief introduction, please.
Eff. Originally 'fifty5' (my age), but a friend here said something about 'effable' (vs. ineffable) and I loved the pun (which might tell you something, but I don't know what).

Oh yeah - and wannabe writer (just not so urgently as to get off my ass)...
  2. What's the link to your member submissions page? http://english.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=238537&page=submissions
  3. For which category do you most often write? Well the one and only is in incest (though I submitted it as Group Sex - see sig)
  4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style? Is it 'Incest' or 'Group Sex'? (It's easy to pick one when there IS only one!)
  5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
No. Yes. (But that means work - and I'm far, far too lazy...)
  6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
    None. Eff = fifty5
  7. Anything else you simply must add?
Fiction's fiction, but in real life, The Enlightenment ('The Age of Reason') does it for me. Reason and evidence really should be where it's at - all else is bunkum. My two big hates are hypocrisy and superstition. Take 'Creationism' (aka "Intelligent Direction") versus Evolution: what's the evidence? On one hand there's: "it's the word/action of God". On the other, there's reams and reams and reams, from Darwin and Mendel and countless others. Or Astrology (or homeopathy, other 'complementary/alternative medicines', Voodoo, etc.)... Either there's reason and evidence, or there's just Mumbo-Jumbo.

Two plus two equals four. Take 2 counters (or CD cases, mushrooms, coins, whatever) and lay them down next to 2 others. Count the items. You'll find there's four of them. More advanced theories can take a bit more to grasp, but the principle's exactly the same: anyone competant can take the evidence and derive the same result. That's science and reason. The rest simply harks back to the dark ages and should be destroyed/debunked!

Oops. My buttons are much too easy to press...

  1. Hi, I'm SlickTony. I live in a community of people who'd probably be horrified if they knew my real proclivities.
  2. In my sig line.
  3. Geez, I'd have to go over my list...let's see, 2 mature, 3 incest (one of which probably should have been classified as voyeurism) 2 group sex, 1 fetish (which probably should have been classified as loving wives) and 2 gay male. I think that's all. I'll have to add them up.
  4. Hm, I'd say I was more or less evenly distributed.
  5. I really don't know.
  6. No. Yes.
  7. Breathes there a man with soul so tough/who says one identity is not enough?
  8. I'll think of it later.

BUMP!

I thought this was an excellent thread, and it would be great if some of the newer members of the AH could add to it.

But, I'm an ickle bit sad, cos this thread is less than a month old, but a lot of the luvvely people who posted in it have now gone missing, or aren't around much. :(

1. Hi I'm Elsie and I'm mildly obessed with rowing ( I think that covers it!)

2. I think thats the one in my sig?

3. So far I've only written for non-erotic poetry and I have no immediate plans to change that

4. Ooh, tough question! Um... I guess, I Can't Do This or Angels

5. Nope, I'd like to publish a book one day but I'd have to finish writing it first!

6. I'm just me!

7. Rowing is amazing fun! Even when you have to get up early to go!

Don't worry, Lou. RL has a tendency to interfer with our smuttiness now and then, but we always come back to sweet ol' Lit. :cattail:

[*]A brief introduction, please.
Hi. I'm Huck.

[*]What's the link to your member submissions page?
I've started, but never finished, my first few submissions.
(Actually, that could be the first line of one for the BDSM category. hmmm...)
I do, however, write for a living, so I figure I'm entitled to be here on that basis.

[*]For which category do you most often write?
I usually just make smart-ass comments in the AH. Occasionally, I'll try to give a good argument, or just make people laugh.

[*]Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?
I don't have anything here, and what I write in RL is not the sort of thing you'd read for entertainment. I post in the AH to write the way I'd like to if someone would pay me for this instead of what they will pay me for.

[*]Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)
Sort of. They're high-priced market research reports. For awhile, though, I was quoted pretty regularly in mainstream press. If you think your written stuff looks weird in print, you should take a look at your spoken words sometime. It was fun while it lasted, but it all came to an end less than a week after 9/11/01, when I lost that job. Which pisses me off, because I had nothing to do with that tragedy.

[*]Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?
This is my only persona here. I post on other sites from time to time, and have since the pre-Internet days. Back then, these were BBS's. Funny story - Jerry Pournelle (a sci-fi writer) used to write a column for BYTE, a tech mag. He had a forum on GEnie, sort of like Compuserve at the time (maybe 1991?), and he'd hold forth on whatever topic his Libertarian mindset cared to spout off about. I'd try to argue sometimes, but it was tough getting through the fanboys to the man himself. Somehow, though, he decided I'd called him a Nazi, which set off a really good flame war. I didn't really call him a Nazi, but I should have. I merely pointed out that he shared a point of view with the Aryan Nations. ;)

[*]Anything else you simply must add?
I really do enjoy much of the writing I find here, as well as the opportunity to converse with an unusually literate and thought-full group of people. Plus, it's a porn site, so I can post as outrageously as I please! :p Just the same, I hope I'm not too offensive to anyone. I have a sarcastic tone that, with drink, spills into bitter sometimes.

Hi, Huck.

No, the Aryan nations share a few points of view with the Libertarians. It's not precisely the same thing.

  1. A brief introduction, please.

Hello. I'm mismused, an often confused writer, but I try to hide, edit, that out. I love my moniker, and it may be the most musified thing I've ever done.
  2. What's the link to your member submissions page?

I'm too dense to know how to do that, so people that are interested have to suffer my lack of computer intelligence, and find it the hard way. Apologies.

  3. For which category do you most often write?

My first submission was a 25 chapter novella that covered a broad spectrum, including hetero, lesbian, three/foursomes, and D/s. The rest have been lesbian.

  4. Which ONE of your stories or poems would you choose to give to a newbie as the best indicator of your skills/style?

I've taken all of the stories down from before Valentine's Day story, but for those who have read them when they were up, I love all of them tremendously. I'm my own best reader of my stories.

  5. Are you published elsewhere? (If not, do you wanna be?)

No, but tried once. The consolidation of the industry has agents pretty well puffed up at their new found importance, at least in my opinion. Still, I may try it again, but in lesbian only publishers. It is a dream.

  6. Who ELSE are you (i.e., alternate IDs)?

    No one.

  7. Anything else you simply must add?

I'm a bundle of bad habits trying to right themselves, but I take them in order of necessity, thus many still remain. This, apparently, frightened me something fierce, and I finallly realized it, so here it is. Oh, and I don't give out any info about myself -- I wanted everything about me to be from my writing only. I like that, and am very slow to make good friends, though I love the idea of friends. You'll also see, if you read my posts, that I'm greatly into what this life is all about, but have my own way of looking, finding.

I'll take your word on that :)

I remember what set the thing off, though. Pournelle posted a rant against sex education where he railed against "jack-booted thugs" from the federal government forcing local schools' curriculum. I pointed out that the only time I'd seen the military enforcing federal laws in schools was during desegregation. That's where the Aryan nations thing came in... Of course, after that, the discussion was all about did I or did I not call him a Nazi. God forbid the jackass would fess up to a bit of purple prose

I don't belong here, but....

A brief introduction, please. *I'm Trinique. I try not to wander into the AH too
