AnIrish American bbw feels lonely and sad in the States because most men refuse to date her due to her rather amply sized body. However, things change dramatically for her after she is transferred overseas to China by her firm. Suddenly, she finds herself the object of adoring male glances everywhere she goes, as her pale skin and red hair turn heads. She even gets her work pals (especially the local women), telling her that her huge bottom and generous breasts indicate that she is an attractive and fertile young female. How does she deal with all this unexpected attention? A female perspective would be much appreciated.

Interesting story idea, but I don't think China is the right place to set it. People there are much thinner, on average, than the average American. Maybe send her someplace like Italy or Germany where larger women are more treasured.

I agree that anywhere in East Asia is an unrealistic option for this story. Honestly, even an average American is likely to be considered unattractively fat in China.

I won't pretend I know much about cultural ideals of beauty in the far east, though I recall that in one culture (not sure if it was China or Japan) there were historical depictions of extremely curvaceous women as beautiful, just as there's artists like Peter Paul Rubens in European culture.

I suppose the problem with setting this story in China or some other country is that you'll always get people saying 'That's not what their cultural values actually are.'

On the other hand, maybe the solution is to set it in a fictitious country... let's say a small, comfortable and affluent island nation. Our voluptuous protagonist can find her fame rising to Marilyn-Monroe proportions, and you can have a lot of fun playing with the cultural differences and histories that make her such a knock-out there. Maybe a beloved and voluptuous queen in the island's history, or maybe their only exposure to western culture is photos of curvaceous early 20th century pin-up girls that soldiers brought to the island. That's how I would approach it, anyway.

That's an excellent idea. I'll have the story set in some exotic and isolated S.E Asian kingdom which is obssessed with 20th cwntury pin-up girls as you suggested.

In most cultures today, skinny is what we class ass Hot. But back in older periods, like older periods of japan / china, or ancient civilizations such as Egypt, they found more curvy women the optimal mother, which in those days were the value in women, their abilities for children.

If we set it this small island, not into an ancient civilization, but more in the sense of older views, for example, curvy women are optimal for birth, thus more wanted by men, then we could have it.

That is an excellent point and I intend to use that as my basic premise. This overweight young American lass goes as a tourist to some remote Himalayan kingdom where traditional norms still hold sway. There, with her exotic looks and amazing curves, she immediately grabs public attention. She only realizes the extent to which she is desired, when upon attempting to board her departure flight, armed guards from the palace grab her and tell her that she has been selected as a royal concubine by the ruling family.
