Judicious taxation, good public policy (ex. invest in infrastructure and not football stadiums), a commitment to public education, a few people that did well giving back in office and other ways, very socially liberal when it comes to the public square and somewhat fiscally constrained when it comes to the treasury and you have a damn fine place to live.
