Free Thoughts~on One word...

Hi ya peeps.

I have been thinking. (Hmm just a lil think I oft do~ although I do try not to do it too often...)
Why don't we do a free thoughts post? What I have found in my time back here at Lit. is that I am going through the threads and looking for inspiration.
I love to read and get inspiration from others post and thoughts. Sometimes it's just one word that will jump out. Then I kinda go crazy with that~ till I write it all out.

For instance: today's word~~ Temple

Can ya just *see* it.
All the thoughts that go through the mind with that one lil word.

Thanks for lettin' me ramble,
Now I am gonna *play* with my new lil word.

Temples

fingers circle with varying pressure on these soft windows to my brain

pressure to relieve
pressure
ward off the migraine
that winds down the road
like a 18 wheel trailer
filled with a "belly full of pain"
comin slow but you know you damn well better get the hell out of its way
no breaks gonna stop that mother fucker in time

Temples
I wonder why we have these tender portals beside each eye
almost like someone reverse engineered Frankenstein to have a place to plug in

of notions shooting
curved syllables
from behind the wall
of your tremble

lift the sacred sangreal
forever besung as

to my lips

and kiss your temple

temple of time
a wrinkle in the fabric
dancing upon a whisper
evolution withstands

corroding earth
winds humidly swirling
brick replacing stone
the eye watches all

dark murky shadows
rodents scurrying within
crevices interrupting
sinkholes of age

years recapture art
oil scribbles
paintings of cave
orbs of eternity

horoscope collage
elements of pride
sheerly transparent
the temple of time...

neat idea :)

clinging tendrils of suculent ivy
envelop hidden temple walls

what secrets lie entombed
inside this silent shrouded edifice
raised for ancient gods?

what rites were sung
in pain and praise?

what sacrifices left
such varigated stains
upon the altar stone?

if only dust could speak,
to pierce the veil
of mystery and silence
before Nature's unceasing
power returns the temple
to her womb.

He bent and the sidecurls swayed
and the men in the pews davened,
twisted fringes of the tallis

I sat above with women and children,
my head covered in a black shawl.
I saw them in pieces, diamonds
of men spied through a wood lattice
and a tapestry curtain was pulled open

as if they were on a stage, those men
stepping to Torah, some had no beards,
some were children but all men
in Yaweh's eyes.

The gilt ark was open and the covenant
spread on a wooden table. The men read
right to left with a tiny silver hand.
Its finger pointed at the words
Baruch Atoh Adonai

I never read them
while the cantor sang
over millenia from the first
Temple of Jerusalem.

my head hurts
pounding​
 
on my knees I worship
the object of my devotion
flushed with fever
and religious fervor
worshipping
with my lips,
my tongue
at the temple
of my desire
 
Wow~!!!

Can not Thank Ya'll enough for the great poems and for the open mindedness here. I love all the poems. Think I still have so much to learn. Ya'll put me to shame, but that's just it. So many diverse ideas, and thoughts.

My Phantom Love~

Sometimes I see you, on the edge of reality.
Standing tall with a winsome smile.
Such a warm feeling of love,
steals through me. Taking my breath.
Whispering life through this body again.

Reaching out your hand, knowingly.
Warm understanding, radiating throughout you.
Fingertips beckon for a return to heaven.
Asking that life long question,
"Will you take the chance?"

Clever eyes devour me, showing no mercy.
Already you are so sure of our union.
Your stance upon the clouds, floating
away with the wind.

I see your retreating form, shoulders
shrugging. As if again
you knew. Star dust shimmering
as if to say, "Till we meet
again, my phantom love.
Until we meet again."

When I see the word temple, I immediately think of something my mother has told me since I was about 12 years old.

"Your body is a temple...not a prize to be won, but a gift to be given."

I wish I were not such a dreamer.
Life is always perfect...
in dreams~
 
why I long to distill
this indecision

and
clouds
in their
dreams
become
stars

everything aspires
a pinnacle definition
 
Diamond Clouds

Sparkling images shine tumultuously through.
Glitter laced clouds come whispering around.
Carrying me away to the beauteous land of love.
Withholding nothing of my glimmering angelic future.

Wispy wings of fortunes hand placing me softly,
upon the golden throne of lovers landing.
Starlit heavens opening up, thousands of
diamond like shells daintily dance around.
Pearly pillow clouds drifting by, showering feathers
of slow sensual kisses. Enshrining this golden goddess
within perfect petals of lavender lace.

ever wonder what life has to bring
what offerings are upon the wind
sadly life gets complicated
at times
one must do
what they think is best
for all involved

still ya have to wonder
have to glimpse
that small portal in time
when life could have
should have
been what you wanted
