The Republican plan for governing...

It would be funny if it weren't true.

Tax cuts for the rich, banning gay marriage/abortion and business/environmental deregulation.

That's their grand plan.

After years of obstruction, they really don't have a clue how to govern.

It's fun watching them flounder so badly.

It's too bad that the Dems don't have their shit together. This would be a prime opportunity for them to step up and push for good governance.

It's a race to the bottom.

Trump knows it so he's cozying right up to Chuck.

AFAIK only two types of governance exist: brute-force, or compromise. Gups don't have the strength for an overt dictatorship. But compromise looks like surrender so it's out. Result: a gov't running on empty, on momentum.

Could Speaker Ryan get a reasonable tax reform plan passed by compromising with the enemy? Yeah, but then the Gups would oust him as Speaker, the fucking traitor, licking Pelosi's ass and calling it candy!

Gups have no plan for governance because 1) Gup unity sucks, 2) Gups never expected to grab the White House, 3) planning requires that external reality be acknowledged, and Gups oppose reality, which has a liberal bias.

Republican party voters have abandoned politics (i.e. compromise, deliberation, and shared decision-making)—in favor of a kind of primal scream, an outburst of rage and anger against the groups they hate and fear (you know: #ThosePeople). That scream wasn’t strong enough to give most members of the whackadoodle wing election victories, but it did put Trump into the White House, which means it hasn’t lost its power.

Spot on
That was going to be my question.

"The Republicans have a plan for governing?"

They were all set for 8 years of blustering about Clinton.

That's the crux of the biscuit. Their only plan was to just thwart ANYTHING Clinton or any Dem for that matter tried to do. Now, they got the big office, filled with a complete putz, who they don't know how to control, or have any clue what dumbassary he will come up with next.

A 2020 Democratic agenda is emerging.
Any Democrat who wants to be taken seriously must support a

single-payer health-care system,

a $15 minimum wage,

abortion on demand

57 different designation of "gender"

military replete with GAZE, GIMPZ n TRANNIEZ

free college tuition

affirmative support for sanctuary cities along with minimal immigration controls

completely embrace Black Lives Matter and engage in a probing courtship with the radical pseudo-group the “antifa.”

Sounds good.

Alas, we have upcoming 2018 elections the Dums can (and likely will) lose big and the Gups can win because... Dums are luzers, especially in heavily gerrymandered states. Both Dums and Gups seem pretty disorganized now. And nobody is organizing a third party to eat their shorts. Where's SOP (Super Pissed Off) party? Y'know, them who are mad as hell and won't take it any more? Oh yeah, they're collecting benefits and bitching about gov't. [belch]

They are so used to being the opposition, that they oppose themselves.

What's really too bad is that most of the American electorate is dumb as a rock and obsessed with personal electronic toys and high-cost college and professional sports rather than anything remotely connected with governing/being governed.

If only everyone was as smart and badass as gay grandpa.

Tell me and everyone how to vote in the next election, we look forward to your guidance.

Bleh, I just threw up.

Just a lil bit. Lol

'Do as we say, not as we do. And don't ask questions.'

At this point I have a hard time arguing with you about it.

It's really pretty sad. And worse yet, that they fooled so many people into thinking that they had any plan to do anything for the people of the US.
