If you can find your cervix you can find a prostate. Ordinary fingers will suffice.
Go into the rectum about finger deep feeling along the upper side. You will encounter a lump - some say much like a walnut - which is the prostate. Press gently on the area around the lump to gauge how he responds and increase pressure as seems appropriate. "Gently" is the operative word for the whole procedure, especially if he is a first timer.
A nice war up to penetration is external prostate massage. Simply apply pressure as you massage the area between the anus and testicles - the perineum. As the prostate is quite deep from this side, it is surprising how much pressure can be applied and still remain pleasurable.

Definitely easier than reaching your cervix. The easiest way to reach it the first time is if he's lying on his back and you're sitting up alongside of him. His knees should be drawn up and spread. You reach between his leg and insert your middle finger (lubed, and without long pointy nails) into his anus. In that position, the pad of your middle finger should pretty much land right on his prostate of its own accord. It's not in the rectum, but will feel like a lump that you can feel through the upper wall of the rectum, more or less walnut-sized. Try stroking it gently but firmly, trying to draw the prostatic fluid up towards his cock. At this point he should definitely feel it if you're in the right place. It may feel peculiar to him, if this is his first time, but that peculiar will quickly morph into pleasure. If you're lucky and he's young, you should eventually get a good flow of clear slippery fluid.
