Speaking of the truth, Pinocchio...tell me where I said that PEs were "virtually useless metrics," Milton wants to know.:D

Here you go. You trashed P/E ratios not once, but twice, because current P/E ratios don't support your Wingnut Narrative.

The PE ratio really tells you little.

The PE ratio really doesn't tell you much.

Once again, you bring great shame to yourself, your family name, and the United States Marine Corps.

Notice how I didn't use quotation marks; that means I was not quoting you. I used my own phrase to reflect what you said twice (as Rob reported). I'll stand by my paraphrase.

I never said it was virtually useless, it is but a single tool when evaluating stocks and entirely insufficient for analyzing the fundamental health of the market, notwithstanding your gratuitous cheer leading to the contrary.

A spin is as good as an apology....to a Marine.

Blah blah blah. You said it didn't really matter much. Own it.

CBO: Between 30-55 Million People Will Remain Uninsured Under Obamacare…

Via Weekly Standard:

On Monday, CNBC reported on a new survey that found that two-thirds of Americans currently without health insurance don’t know if they will purchase coverage by the deadline, the first day of 2014. The survey was released by InsuranceQuotes.com, a company that offers comparison shopping for insurance, similar to the “marketplaces” envisioned by Obamacare. The results of the survey surprised Laura Adams, senior insurance analyst at the company [...]

However, for those who have kept up with Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projections on the implementation and progress of Obamacare over the next decade, the results will not be all that surprising. On the contrary, the most recent report issued by the CBO in May appears pessimistic by comparison. Of the 55 million “Uninsured Nonelderly People” the report lists for 2013, only 11 million, or 20 percent, are projected to obtain insurance during 2014; the number of uninsured falls only to 44 million next year according to the CBO. This leaves a full 80 percent uninsured, significantly more than the 67 percent found by the survey.

In fact, the CBO projects that under Obamacare over the next decade, the number of uninsured will never fall below 30 million. Here are the year-by-year projections from the report:

2013 – 55,000,000
2014 – 44,000,000
2015 – 37,000,000
2016 – 31,000,000
2017 – 30,000,000
2018 – 30,000,000
2019 – 30,000,000
2020 – 30,000,000
2021 – 31,000,000
2022 – 31,000,000
2023 – 31,000,000

Remember that was the reason to have Obama care in the first place. Remember well my fellow Americans who it was that brought this bureaucratic plague to your door. Remember well who it was that destroyed our medical system.
Mitt Romney?

Looking at the projections it looks like it's going to be cut nearly in half. Looks good to me. So show me the plague when it arrives because so far I'm just seeing decent stuff. I wish we'd gone all socialist/communist and gotten UHC but sometimes you have to settle for what you can get and not cry too much.

Remember well who it was that destroyed our medical system.

You mean the piece of shit that cost us more than UHC prices and gave us shit in return? Oh yea that was a grand ol' fuckin' system wasn't it?

I'm not vouching for Obummercare......it's just another corporate circle jerk bill where the people get shit for the money they spend.

But you're acting like our HC system was all bad ass and not completely fucked/shitting the bed beforehand.......Bullshit.

President Obama's health care plan cut the number of uninsured people in America by half, but the Vettebigot considers that a failure.

Another Epic Vettefail.

If you believe that up to 55 million Americans will not have health insurance under Obamacare then you have to issue a complete retraction for spending three years moaning about doctor shortages. If this many people aren't getting health care then we'll have far more doctors per patient than we have today.

That's the thing about mindlessly believing any old internet blogger's opinion. It makes you sound insane.

Also WTF 55 million uninsured in 2013? What happened to the conservative argument disputing that there were even 30 million?

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The increase in U.S. productivity in the first quarter was a bit lower than initially thought and hourly compensation for American workers posted the biggest decline since at least 1947, according to newly revised government figures. Productivity rose 0.5% in the January-to-March period, down from a first read of 0.7%, the Labor Department said Wednesday. That matched the forecast of economists surveyed by MarketWatch. The rise in output was lowered to 2.1% from an original read of 2.5% and the growth in hours worked was reduced to 1.6% from 1.8%. Hourly compensation, meanwhile, plunged 3.8% in the first quarter instead of rising 1.2% as initially reported. That's the biggest decline since the Labor Department began keeping track in 1947, with the largest drop occurring in the manufacturing sector. It follows a huge 9.9% gain in compensation in the fourth quarter, however, and hourly wages and benefits over the past four quarters are actually 2.0% higher. Adjusted for inflation, hourly wages fell an even steeper 5.2% in the first quarter. As a result, unit-labor costs sank 4.3%. In the manufacturing sector, productivity growth was revised down to 3.5% from 3.8%
