"Taxpayers are paying a fortune for the use of Air Force One on the campaign trail"

"Taxpayers are paying a fortune for the use of Air Force One on the campaign trail" by President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
— Donald Trump on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 in a tweet

And Tiny uses AF-1 for campaigning in the midterms at a pace I am sure vastly exceeding any other POTUS.

What a hypocrite.

Not that you'd give a shit if he had a (D) next to his name.....what a hypocrite.

What a hypocrite.

So prove it.

Sens. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Jeff Merkley, D-Ore are doing that very thing since Tiny is not forthcoming with his fraud, waste and abuse.

All extreme left wing lunatics with little credibility in America writ large.

Trump is the President and can fly anywhere he wants in AF-1

Now it's a big deal and now you don't defend it.
Before, the president had to employ AF1 as an extension of the White House, Michelle and the kids had to travel as representatives of the President and no spending on entertainment was too much because he had to entertain as the leader of the free world. Back then, golfing was good, it kept the president exercised and relaxed; it was too stressful a job, even though it didn't start until 10AM.
Now you're a hypocrite too...

At least Trump donates his salary, or is that un-presidential now?

Even if it's just flying a recalcitrant Progressive Senator on a tour of NYC while he buys that last needed vote by claiming to him that ObamaCare was the first best step to single-payer.

Up at 4:00AM and hits the rack at 11:00PM or later. Probably get's more done before 10:00AM than Obama did all day.:D

Former President Obama did the same thing when he held the office. The press didn't say a word about it.

To the Victor, go the spoils...

There are no such in the Senate, not even Sanders, more's the pity.

Again, for the umpteenth time, Sanders is far from being the furthest left.

Waters, Warren, Ellison and other sit well to the left of him.

I've cited it before several times for you, it's been documented, it's official public record.

President Trump has done 33 #MAGA campaign rallies in 17 states, including last night in Kentucky. In addition, he attended rallies for two GOP candidates (in Alabama and South Carolina), according to a tally by Mark Knoller of CBS News.

At the same point in his presidency, Obama had done nine political rallies for Democratic candidates and the DNC, and one for his health insurance plan.

Also Judicial Watch is asking as well:

Latest Travel Expense Details Total $3,024,036.50, bringing total for presidential travel expenses to $17,224,938.46

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for Secret Service records about expense costs associated with President Trump’s travel between December 22, 2017, and April 28, 2018 (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:18-cv-01851).

Judicial Watch filed suit after the Secret Service failed to comply with multiple FOIA requests seeking travel for the following trips:

  • President Trump traveled to his Mar-a-Largo estate in Palm Beach, Florida between December 22, 2017-January 2, 2018 for the Christmas holiday
  • President Trump traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, on January 8, 2018, for the NCAA National Championship game
  • President Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago between January 12-15, 2018
  • President Trump traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 18, 2018, where he attended a rally at H&K Equipment Co. to discuss tax cuts
  • Eric Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago between Jan. 19-21
  • President Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago on February 6 for meetings
  • President Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago between February 17-19 for President’s Day weekend and visited the survivors of the Parkland school shooting
  • President Trump traveled to Pennsylvania on March 10 to campaign for GOP House candidate Rick Saccone
  • President Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago between March 23-25 and March 30-April 1
  • Trump traveled to Mar-a-Lago between April 20-22, when he hosted a Republican National Committee roundtable.
  • Trump traveled to Michigan on April 28 to hold a rally in lieu of attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
In a separate lawsuit, Judicial Watch received Secret Service expense records totaling $3,024,036.50, which brings the known total for presidential travel expenses to $17,224,938.46 and includes the operation of Air Force One.

The treasury and taxpayer money are now "spoils" - got it.

And to call your bullshit - There were frequent complaints and inquiries into Obama's travel as POTUS.

The Senators are looking into Tiny's failure to reimburse when he specifically has advocated for candidates but failed to remunerate the taxpayer.

Judicial Watch seems to be doing the same, or at least looking for an accounting.

Trump works for a dollar a year. Put that in your notes as well.

PS - We pay a fortune for the AFn fleet even when it's on the ground.
The only real additional cost here is fuel, food, beverages...

Maybe so but I'm gonna guess there are quite a few people on that plane that ARE subject to the Hatch Act.

Tough Shit, Bum Next Door:D

Interesting theory. Tell me, do you have evidence that Trump's use of AF1 is being paid for the the taxpayers when he flies to these events? And that flying to these events isn't within his "official duties" as President? And/or that he's not reimbursing the Gov for the use of the aircraft?

Because if you don't have that evidence, then what you've done is start with an unsupported premise and then built an entire narrative around it. In polite circles, that's called lying.

How bout we switch over to paying him his salary, and he stops treating AF1 as his personal taxi?

Not to mention the billions of dollars his tax cuts has helped him and his buddies.

You're an idiot.

I'd like to think that you aren't THAT exceptionally stupid. He doesn't even pay the people that do work for him outside of the white house.. Come on man..
