Any life-like pencil drawings?

I was looking for pencil drawings like the ones I make (see https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=3021432&page=submissions).

I've been perusing the art section for a bit, but the best I found were what looked like traced or digitally altered photos.

I noticed that the top list looked like it was only sorted on date, which didn't help the search and only brought random results so I quit searching further.
I hope the beta of the section won't be an eternal beta.

I personally prefer the images that have "life" in the technique.
I, also, detest the "traced or digitally altered photos", that you noted.
Software designers are the real geniuses! These days the filters are quite good.

It is true that portion of Literotica is weak, and has been in "beta" for ages now.

A search function would greatly help. One would have to implement key words and/or categories — which could include technique, medium or styles, but that is a HUGE undertaking.

I would think that if the voting actually functioned, that would bring many of the images that you like to the top. "looks like a photo" ("life like") type images tend to resonate with the masses.

I saw the thread, yes. Which is also why I put up the question again.

From what I see on the stats of my curent two drawings there's several hundred views a day, which seems to me not a bad deal. But maybe it helped that I linked to them on Twitter.

I think the first thing that should get implemented is the ratings counter. I for one am more curious about what's highly rated than the specific medium or subject to search by.

I could post on DeviantArt or somesuch apart from my Patreon page, but I do prefer the simpler layout here.
 
You will find that DeviantArt is very restrictive on the "deviance", and wide ranging on the "art".

Here, (over "there" part of "here") you will initially get quite a few views, and then fall into obscurity, because of the set-up. More views "there" than "here" (The Visual Artists' Corner).

And very little actual feed back in either location.

Well, I'm keeping an eye on the counters, curious to see how it'll turn out. For now at least it was almost 1000 in the first day, and it's almost 2000 3-4 days later.
I expect as long as I add something regularly it'll not fall into obscurity. Just like how stories still get views with new readers.

You're right about feedback, yes, but that seems to be a problem everywhere.

18 comments/ 122,497 views/ 39 favorites (keeping in mind that 6 of the comments are my own!) so, I suppose that means many people (eventually) wander by and say (to themselves), "meh." LOL


Perhaps it is time to pester Laurel and Manu (again) about pushing it out of "beta".


I am curious as to how you numbers advance. You should post some updates.

BTW: There used to be a view counter here, but a year or so ago, that disappeared.

Have to say I checked a random few out, and I like your style. It sort of says fun to me. Reminds me of a Dutch artist who makes single pane comics.

Maybe drawing (conventient pun) more attention to the art section helps. I've posted when I submitted and when a drawing goes live on Twitter, and it gets likes and retweets from @literotica. I hope that'll add more traffic and gain more popularity.

Along with some additional "popularity" of the feature, I would like to see some functionality (as you have also noted), which, in turn will likely encourage repeat visits.

A little surprised to see Couch Blonde views going up that fast. Then again it's a blonde girl with a nice view of her posterior and I do believe that attracts more attention than a frontal pose.
Which would make my choice to use it as the banner on my sites even better. :)
