Is Interracial Pornography Racist?

It depends on the reasoning and the belief of the person.

I find it very weird when SOME white males imagine their white wives to be cuckholded by black men. It's a common mentality on this site.

Oddly, black men never share that fantasy of their black wives being screwed by a white man (I can think of one good reason, but that is another story).

I also never hear of white women who want their white husbands to bang black women or black women who want their black husbands to bang white women.

But the internet is never short of white men who love that kind of black male cuckhold stuff!

Why?

In my opinion, it all goes back to seeing the black man as a nothing more than a piece of giant cock, as a rogue beast that only has a one track mind. In their minds, all black men are DARK, MUSCULAR, TALL, and STRAPPING! This belief is a mixture of racism and sexual envy, there are many white males who have a sexual inferiority complex against black men.

However, if one simply enjoys the color contrasts between two adult humans, then that is not racist nor sinister. I love seeing black on black porn, or interracial porn between a curvy black goddess and a strapping white male.

You're right that it's an overbroad statement; there probably are examples of black men with such fetishes. My impression is that there's someone, somewhere for every fetish you can think of.

But the broader point, I think, is a valid one: the thing that drives interracial porn/erotica, primarily (not exclusively, obviously), is the fascination white men have for the idea of black men fucking white women. And that's very interesting. It's interesting to think about what that implies and what it means. If you really think about it, it's kind of fucked up. But it's fascinating to think about in terms of the role that social taboos and constraints play in making something "erotic."
 
You're probably right, but not all of us really pay much attention to how black men feel about white women or vice versa. Some of us think more about what white men think about being done by a black man and vice versa. And civil rights or political correctness really don't figure in any way when I give that thought.

I was after building a premise on a sweeping generalization that doesn't hold water. This is a writing site. The use of words in discussion is important.

I have no idea what MelissaBaby's snit is about. I wasn't engaging with her--unless of course she's an alt for nowisthetime.

I don't! And I don't mean to dismiss that particular flavor of this dessert. My point, and I think it's a fair one, is that in terms of sheer numbers it's the white guy fascination with black guys on white girls that drives this fetish category. But that's not to say that there aren't other sides to it. And, of course, one can't forget that there's the thing guys have about Asian girls . . .

The interracial thing is complicated.

LOL. I wasn't too serious, I totally get your point and you're right of course. That white guy fascination with black guys on white girls is quite fascinating in and of itself.

Just remembered this thread and my Winter Holidays story is right down this line. "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" - a chinese girl and her fantasies come true. Plastic Blonde, first since I didn’t read all of the comments I apologize if this duplicates any other comment. Not only don’t I feel that interracial porn is racist, but I feel it is the opposite of racist. What is racist are anti-miscegenation laws and social norms, as well as segregation of the races. Interracial porn is the opposite of that in that it is bringing people of different races together. One of things I find to be hopeful is the apparent increase in the percentage of mixed race people.

That and the readership on Literotica is increasingly international. I get a lot of feedback offline now from Chinese and Asian readers and it's so great to get that and see it's not just me that enjoys these inter racial stories. I'm kind of writing for a niche I enjoy reading and it's so gratifying and satisfying to find a much larger audience hanging out there for every word I write.

To all, in reading over my previous comment I want to correct or at least explain my use of the phase “different races” as it may imply that these “races” have nothing in common. It seems to me that what many call “races” (and which I am in the habit of doing myself) actually blend together and are mostly similar, so there is no distinct line separating them. Some people even maintain that “race” is actual a social construct.

I always liked "Romeo Must Die" - Jet Li and Aaliyah. "The Sleeping Dictionary" with Jessica Alba was another good one. I'd love to see a good remake of Han Suyin's "A Many-Splendored Thing" - the books wonderful but the film version is very dated. But my all time favorited are the Anglo-Indian ones. "The Far Pavilions" is just beautiful. I love that movie so much.

That's the consensus view among anthropologists. Genetic markers do not physically distinguish 'races'; thinking you're of a certain race, does. What we now call ethnic groups or nationalities were commonly referred to as 'races' in the past.

The idea that humanity can be accurately categorized as White, Black, Brown, Red, and Yellow races works about as well as Ptolemaic astronomy with its innumerable epicycles -- too many oddities and exceptions, and an artificial center of gravity. The color-coded race model assumes Whites are the high standard, like the old Earth-is-the-center-of-the-universe model. White blood is tainted if mixed with other bloods, yada yada. Yeah sure.

Stories I've written mostly treat 'race' almost casually. People of various skin tones are attracted to each other and fuck. Race is a feature, not an issue, of the sexual activity. I.e. folks target others despite, not because of, race. Is that real-world? Probably not. But LIT fantasyland hosts whatever works.

Hypoxia, thank you for the reply and I feel you make some good points. I am interested in the concept of similarities and variations and I feel the issue of “race” fits into that. This concept is something I would like to get into, but it is likely to develop into what some people on this board would consider to be political. I will mention that the thread I started on the Playground board – “Dance and Near Dance” – implicitly deals with the concept of similarities and variations of dance.
