I went to see Tron Legacy the other day. I sat down in my seat and was taking off my coat when the fire alarm sounded off and they evacuated that wing of the mall, including the theater. After about fifteen minutes we reentered the building, I returned to my seat (same seat was available but I moved over one to avoid someone sitting in front of it), and then 33 minutes into the movie the fire alarm sounded again, evacuating the building once more. I walked out to my car, grabbed my hat (which I had forgotten before, and pissed off a few people waiting for my space 
), walked back just in time to reenter the theater, and had to deal with three little brats acting like they had never been disciplined in their lives playing with their phones, throwing things over the balcony at someone in the hallway, and not paying any attention to the movie (probably $30 to get in and they aren't watching). thankfully they left early, and I could enjoy the final act in peace...

I enjoyed it, yes. There were a few too many throwaway characters, but the end result was about as much fun as I expected it to be. The ending gave me a bit more to think about than I expected though.

We need to update our address book.
We've had Christmas cards from relations we haven't had contact from in years and they didn't put their addresses on the envelope or with the card.
I've spent some time searching for postcodes and current addresses. One set of relations who are still at the same address they have been at for forty years are now in a different town with a different postcode - but they haven't moved! Their village which was on the edges of one town, has been absorbed by another town.

I got out of work early yesterday. Went to the gym, ran, hit the heavy bag, and as I was driving home I turned around and drove out to the casino...
I would seriously like to know why my karma is so fucked that I can't win any money even when I am playing well. I really only made two stupid moves yesterday, but everyone against me got lucky and I still lost a bunch.

Also, I have never been with a woman on a holiday. I have never been with a woman on my birthday. I haven't been with a woman in over three years, and that was the first time in twelve (once in fifteen now). How did things get so messed up over the years?

Part of me is depressed and upset that my family left me home alone to clean up their messes while they go see the in-laws.
Part of me wants to use this oppurtunity to walk around naked, listening to country music and eating something yummy that I don't have to share.

I'm lonely without my Sir to share Christmas with. I'm alone on Christmas day for the second year in a row. The AH has become a nasty place to be and it's Fucking Christmas day. A bunch of people should have gotten coal in their stockings rather than presents with the way they act here. Grow up. You are supposed to be adults. Act like it.

I have the house to myself since my parents went off to see my sister and her family in south Jersey. I would have gone, but they are staying the night and I have things to do locally tomorrow.

We've had a quiet Christmas day without the daughters and grandchildren.
After a light lunch we went for a walk beside the sea (very easy since the sea is less than 30 yards away), did some window shopping, exchanged Christmas greetings with the dog walkers and the dogs, and returned to cook our Christmas meal for two.
We watched a DVD while eating the meal.
But we didn't leave room for Christmas Pudding!
Never mind. Christmas Pudding can wait until tomorrow.

I've had stomach issues myself off and on for the past week.Blurt - I have an amazing husband who supports my writing aspirations. I got a coupon for 100% off a Netbook or Laptop of my choice. (I'm trying to choose something with a very reasonable price because I feel guilty having him buy me something so expensive.) Now I just need to justify his faith in me and my writing.

Look into the Lenovo line of laptops. $479 at Best Buy, right now. They are the same as the IBM think pads but made in China under an IBM license. I use them at work and have no problems at all and they are as fast as anything out there.
