How long do your stories last?

I'm thinking that I should focus on short scenarios, as it seems that writers tend to disappear pretty regularly and I shouldn't count on anything lasting more than a couple months?

What's your experience?

It depends. I have been involved in a couple of long term stories here and here.

These, however, are on the ORP board, not the SRP.

I wonder if that's common. I can see that if your SRP has less plot it might be harder to maintain engagement. If I had more time I'd be curious to browse and see how many seem to stop mid-scene rather than at more natural point of story exhaustion.

Real life certainly intrudes of course, I'm not begrudging that. I've had partners let me know in the past that they were going to have to take a break.

I wrote a breeding story inspired by my secretary
