I like the blending of prose and poetry in Haibun X 3 by jayce1066
The black, grey, white bringing the three together though they're separate vignettes. The haikus could be smoother, IMO, but still nice work and worth a look.

A heartfelt second here, find out why yourself

O Negative by Magnetron & His Old Shirt by Trix are outstandin' pieces IMHO & i second the Reco on a Submissive Confession

I feel this is worth reading

By champagne, her control on emotion and language in this works so well for me, I think she does a brilliant job to not slip into a he trite or mundane, but shows a true appreciation for a man who had demons enough to take his own life but could still illicit smiles and laughter from every one else.

I highly recommend Susanow's On Bad Poetry [ I have a Conflict of Interest here 'coz i'm a Bad Poet & I write Bad Poetry but I want everyone to please have a look @ this Poem ]

I agree On Bad Poetry is a good read. I love her non-traditional style, phrasing and punctuation (or lack of) and the almost psychotic imagery she weaves in most of her work.

I'd recommend reading Jim Morrison's poetry, I love the band (The Doors) but his poetry is to die for.

'tis panderous bullshit
To all those poets waiting for a reason
remember this: nothing you write in a million
years will be the same as any other writing.

does it deserve to be said? or said badly?
and perhaps a little time off the soapbox and in the trenches of comments
in a nutshell
I did not vote

She went on, I did not.

just a spyin and snoopin in New Poems
'cause WTF somebody's got to.

Annie's a Lachrymose Ten Year Old

this looks like a walkthrough, some deserve to be recommended
excerpt:
But four flights down the walk-up tonight
prowling around on the street
are dog pack boys at midnight
looking for bitches forever in heat

hey, I know that brownstone

seannelson has two, which I'm beginning to mistrust my jugdement because I like
the one without comments

American Zombie
excerpt:
I'm the liberty
they used to Revere,
boiled in the tea
they no longer feared.

Roads # 2
the long awaited return of Demure
excerpt
...all of them
awaited, welcome...only when the storms
half-stir the lax, slow years a latent sense
of unrest twists those well-known worlds awry

my fave of the day
the invisible man
bybutters
which is something about paper plate tectonics
in the comments GM asks a question and states pretty much how I feel
I don't know why it works, but it seems right
I wish she had a different line, but if she did?
I fived sans comment further

Simmer is here,
winter will come,
and I am idling with my words,
because that is what poets do.

Now where is the fucking screw.

Matriculation Day

a good song, beats poems overdone anyday, and I'm sorry I did not read them all...

this is good.
Beware of academics,
fast money and fast food,
all three are epidemics,
they do more bad than good.

not one forced rhyme, smooth as silk, with an occasional rumple...

ode to an autumn rosebud

by seannelson is brilliant and a well deserved E!

(presented in folds of floral perfection)

my favourite line, the sounds in this are brilliant in my opinion,

the whole poem is laced with colours of red and autumn.

Filling In The Low Spots by HarryHill, who probably would have been mortified by my 1966 Chevy Bel Air with rusted fenders covered with metal tap, the entirety of which I painted flat black with about two dozen aerosol cans.
